Dear Groundwater Advocates,
We are excited to invite organizations working at the intersection of water and youth to join the UNESCO Groundwater Youth Network Steering Committee.

By joining the Steering Committee, you will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise, collaborate with peers, and help guide the strategic direction and impact of Groundwater Youth Network (GWYN).

The 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 for the application is 10th April 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

Please note that a signed letter from your organization confirming your role as official representative for the next two years will be required if your application is accepted. You will be notified of the outcome shortly after 10 April and expected to attend our first Steering Committee meeting where we will hold our Committee elections on 17 April at 12pm CEST.

The Groundwater Youth Network (GWYN), with the support of UNESCO, will nominate and sponsor one youth representative to participate in the UNESCO International Symposium on “Coastal Aquifers, Sustainable Futures”, organized under the GEF/UNEP MedProgramme. The symposium will be held on 10-11 February 2026 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France.

This high-level event will bring together representatives from governments, scientific institutions, regional organizations, and development partners to exchange knowledge and strengthen collaboration on the sustainable management of coastal aquifers.
