Violence against women takes many forms, sometimes invisible:

Social pressure and unrealistic standards harm bodies and self-esteem (anorexia, Hollywood glamour, e.g., Demi Moore).

Restrictive laws take away freedom, like mandatory hijab in Iran.
Let’s think of all those fighting for freedom and dignity. ✊💜

León Tolstói no fue solo uno de los más grandes escritores de la historia (Guerra y paz, Anna Karénina).
Fue también un pensador radical, pacifista, vegetariano por ética y un hombre de filosofía vivida: para él, pensar no era suficiente, había que vivir de acuerdo con las propias convicciones.

Opuesto a la guerra, a la pena de muerte y a toda forma de violencia, Tolstói veía un vínculo directo entre la violencia ejercida contra los animales y la infligida a los seres humanos:
«Mientras haya mataderos, habrá campos de batalla.»

Poco se sabe que Tolstói y Gandhi mantuvieron correspondencia.
Sus intercambios alimentaron el pensamiento de la no violencia e inspiraron luchas que marcaron la historia.

Escritor, artista de la conciencia, militante de la compasión…
Si estuviera vivo hoy, sin duda estaría aquí, del lado de los 3A, recordándonos que la paz siempre comienza con la mirada que dirigimos a los más vulnerables.

He believed in a lived philosophy, not a theoretical one —
convictions meant nothing if they weren’t practiced.

He opposed war, violence, and the suffering of animals.
He even corresponded with Gandhi, helping shape the idea of non-violence.
