Paris Internationale was established in 2015 as an innovative alternative to traditional art fairs to support a young generation of galleries.

Paris Internationale is a joint initiative from 3 galleries; Crèvecoeur, CiacciaLevi, and Galerie Gregor Staiger, as a collective attempt to develop an appropriate model for fostering new advanced initiatives in contemporary art.

🖇️ Archive Milan 2026: Daily Dérive with Alberto Salvadori (Director ICA Milano) & Romane de Watteville (Artist)

PI’s Daily Dérives program invites visitors to explore the fair through expert-led conversations with key figures from the art world. Staying true to the Situationist idea of « wandering » as Guy Debord said, « drawn by the attractions of the terrain » each session offered a unique, intimate experience that deepened one’s connection to contemporary art and provided fresh insights.

🖇️ Archive Milan 2026: Jocelyn Wolff based in Paris presented Prinz Gholam (b. 1969, DE / b. 1963, LB) and Santiago de Paoli (b. 1978, AR)

Jocelyn Wolff presented a curated selection of works by Prinz Gholam and Santiago de Paoli. Though emerging from distinct conceptual and geographic contexts, their practices resonate through shared aesthetic affinities and a sustained engagement with physicality, density and tactility. Born in Buenos Aires in 1978 and now based in New York, Santiago de Paoli works with unconventional materials such as plaster, copper and felt. His practice revisits recurring motifs — moons, candles, socks, flowers, clouds — inflected with subtle irony, between intimacy and absurdity. For this presentation, we will focus on four paintings depicting butts at times fused into domestic objects. It evokes a surrealist lineage and echo assemblage, reflecting an artistic heritage rooted in Argentina. In dialogue, drawings by the Berlin-based duo Prinz Gholam extend this focus on the (un)gendered body. Working between performance and drawing, their practice unfolds between the live body and its representation. Some works document enacted gestures; others feature paper masks worn by them. They often reference historical depictions of the male body and contemporary homosocial and sexual imagery, notably in a recent series inspired by Fassbinder’s Querelle. Deeply invested in sensuality as both subject and method, these works engage the body as a site of tension. Installed together, they will create a charged hanging anchored in rigorous theoretical inquiry.

🖇️ Archive Milan 2026: Kaufmann Repetto based in Milan and New York presented Anthea Hamilton (b. 1978, UK)

Anthea Hamilton’s Sh***ri Desk (2025) is inspired by an oshibako, the traditional Japanese mold used to prepare pressed rice. The sophisticated mechanism is reproduced on a large scale, giving the work the dimensions and appearance of a writing desk. The surfaces are covered with the rankaku technique, an ancient inlay method common in Asia, which uses quail eggshells and is traditionally used to decorate small and precious objects. Applied across the work’s large surfaces, it creates a tension between the intimate dimension of the ornament and the sculptural presence of the object, producing an almost epidermal effect. Adding to the material ambivalence is the structural component of the binding, inspired by sh***ri, which tightens and holds the desk in a constrictive and protective gesture, as if the object were frozen in a moment of suspension.

🖇️ Archive Milan 2026: Lia Rumma based in Milan and Keteleer based in Antwerp presented Luca Monterastelli (b.1983, Italy)

“La Tempesta”, is a project that radicalizes his exploration of bas-relief as an urban narrative device. A series of plaster panels translates pornographic iconography related to power and submission into the formal vocabulary of rational bas-relief, supported by infrastructural devices derived from the “Synthesis” system by Ettore Sottsass, a furniture structure adopted as a standard in public administration offices. Monterastelli intervenes in the iconography of power that Fascist architecture once entrusted to bas-relief, replacing its repertoire with a grammar of submissive bodies. The body becomes the site where authority is inscribed and displayed. The surface of the panels bears the marks of a vandalistic gesture that alters their legibility, undermining the monumental rhetoric of the relief from within. Even the intended function of the bas-relief is dismantled: no longer a frontal monument placed high above, but an accumulation of slabs resting on functional devices. Form loses its celebratory function and presents itself as a relic of a compromised authority.

🖇️ Archive Milan 2026: Vistamare based in Milan and Pescara presented Anna Franceschini (b.1979, Italy)

Vistamare presented a project by Anna Franceschini, centered on “Villa Straylight” (2019), an installation inspired by the speculative universe of William Gibson and his novel “Neuromancer”. Drawing on the fictional setting of a decadent, labyrinthine villa suspended in space, the work reflects on environments where objects, machines, and bodies coexist in unstable and shifting configurations. Franceschini’s practice explores the choreography of things, assembling mechanical elements and ornamental fragments into sequences that blur the boundaries between animate and inanimate, function and appearance. Her approach investigates the continuity between human and commodity, staging a space where material presence and symbolic value collapse into one another. Through “Villa Straylight”, the artist constructs an immersive and disorienting environment that invites viewers to confront processes of transformation, artifice, and impermanence, suggesting a condition in which meaning continuously slips and reforms.

🖇️ Archive Milan 2026: Luisa Delle Piane based in Milan presented Gaetano Pesce (b.1939-2024, Italy) and Giovanni De Francesco (Italy)

The gallery presented two of its artists: Gaetano Pesce and Giovanni de Francesco.
Gaetano Pesce embodies the design-driven essence of the gallery, while Giovanni de Francesco represents its art vision and curatorial drive.
Both were featured through significant projects created specifically for the gallery.
