This event comes in the wake of th
e highly popular Grand Prix de Fourges, a large format plein air painting competition held every year since 2013, attracting one hundred professional and amateur artists from countries as far afield as France, Russia, Ukraine, Algeria, Slovenia, Finland, Latvia, China and Vietnam. The new form of event was held for the first time in 2017 in an extended area, featuring several towns that symbolise the cradle of French Impressionism in Normandy. Highlights include:
