THOMAS HOUSEAGO, MENTOR REIFFERS INITIATIVES 2026

Nous sommes très fiers et enthousiastes d’annoncer que Thomas Houseago sera le nouveau mentor Reiffers Initiatives 2026 ! ✨

Thomas Houseago artiste britannique, installé à Los Angeles, est l’un des plus grands sculpteurs de notre époque. Son œuvre fascinante, célébrée à travers le monde, a notamment été mise à l’honneur lors d’une grande rétrospective en France au Musée d’Art moderne de Paris en 2019, par la Pinault Collection à Venise en 2020 et, plus récemment, au Rubell Museum de Miami en 2025.

Thomas Houseago accompagnera un autre sculpteur talentueux. Ensemble ils construisent une exposition commune présentée au sein de notre fondation en octobre 2026.

Encore un peu de patience… le nom de l’artiste en duo avec Thomas Houseago sera bientôt révélé ! 👀

THOMAS HOUSEAGO, REIFFERS INITIATIVES 2026 MENTOR

We are incredibly proud and excited to announce that Thomas Houseago will be the new Reiffers Initiatives mentor for 2026! ✨

Thomas Houseago , a British artist based in Los Angeles, is one of the most important sculptors of our time. His fascinating body of work, celebrated around the world, has been highlighted in major exhibitions, including a landmark retrospective in France at the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris in 2019, an exhibition by the Pinault Collection in Venice in 2020, and, more recently, at the Rubell Museum in 2025.

Thomas Houseago will mentor another talented sculptor. Together, they will create a joint exhibition to be presented at our foundation in October 2026.

Just a little more patience… the name of the artist who will partner with Thomas Houseago will be revealed soon! 👀

ACTUALITÉ ARTISTE - Clédia Fourniau LAURÉATE REIFFERS ART PRIZE 2024✨

lauréate du Reiffers Art Prize 2024, présente à la à Berlin, l’exposition « Hallooooo ». Celle- ci explore le moment de l’initiation, ce passage à l’action où le geste devient performance. À partir de cette onomatopée, l’artiste interroge la fonction du langage et le système rituel du « bonjour » social. Elle y aborde des thèmes comme la conscience des codes, la répétition, la reconstitution, la réutilisation, l’apprentissage et la re-performance de la tradition.

En 2024, Clédia Fourneau a été nommée lauréate de la troisième édition, l’artiste avait dévoilé une peinture explorant la dimension processuelle et performative de la peinture abstraite et interrogeant les conditions de perception et de réception d’une image.

Son travail a ensuite été exposée à l’occasion des expositions de la collection de la fondation « Les Apparitions » (2025) et « The Living Room » (2026).

ARTIST UPDATE – Clédia Fourniau LAUREATE OF THE REIFFERS ART PRIZE 2024 ✨

, laureate of the 2024 Reiffers Art Prize, is presenting the exhibition “Hallooooo” at in Berlin. The exhibition explores the moment of initiation that transition into action where gesture becomes performance. Through this onomatopoeia, the artist questions the function of language and the ritualized social system of saying “hello.” She addresses themes such as awareness of social codes, repetition, reconstruction, reuse, learning, and the re-performance of tradition.

In 2024, Clédia Fourniau was named winner of the third edition of the prize. The artist unveiled a painting exploring the procedural and performative dimensions of abstract painting while questioning the conditions of perception and reception of an image.

Her work was subsequently exhibited as part of the foundation’s collection exhibitions “Les Apparitions” (2025) and “The Living Room” (2026).

ACTUALITÉS ARTISTE – Pol Taburet, LAURÉAT DU PRIX REIFFERS INITIATIVES 2022✨

Pol Taburet , lauréat du Prix Reiffers Initiatives 2022, présente l’exposition « Paranoia as Method » à la à Rome. L’exposition réunit peintures, dessins et sculptures réalisés lors de sa résidence au sein de l’institution. Sous le commissariat de , le projet investit les espaces de la Villa Médicis et transforme le lieu en paysage psychique sous tension, où les figures de Pol Taburet oscillent entre métamorphose, humanité et animalité.

Pol Taburet a été le premier lauréat du Prix Reiffers Initiatives, dont la première édition, « DES CORPS LIBRES – Une jeune scène française », a été présentée en 2022 au sein de la fondation. Son travail a ensuite été exposée à l’occasion des expositions de la collection de la fondation « Les Apparitions » (2025) et « The Living Room » (2026). Cette année l’artiste a également été récompensé par le Prize.

ARTIST NEWS – Pol Taburet, LAUREATE OF THE 2022 REIFFERS ART PRIZE✨

Pol Taburet winner of the 2022 Reiffers Art Prize, presents the exhibition “Paranoia as Method” at the in Rome. The exhibition brings together paintings, drawings, and sculptures created during his residency at the institution. Curated by , the project takes over the spaces of the Villa Medici and transforms the site into a tense psychological landscape, where Pol Taburet’s figures oscillate between metamorphosis, humanity, and animality.

Pol Taburet was the first laureate of the Reiffers Initiatives Prize, the inaugural edition of which, “DES CORPS LIBRES – Une jeune scène française,” was presented in 2022 at the foundation. His work was later featured in the foundation’s collection exhibitions “Les Apparitions” (2025) and “The Living Room” (2026). This year, the artist was also awarded the Chanel Next Prize.

ACTUALITÉS ARTISTE - LORNA SIMPSON, MENTOR REIFFERS INITIATIVES 2023✨

mentor Reiffers Initiatives 2023, présente à l’occasion de la 61ème Venise, l’exposition « Third Person » à la Punta della Dogona-Pinault Collection, en partenariat avec le de New York. Centrée sur sa pratique picturale, elle constitue la plus importante présentation de son travail en Europe depuis plus d’une décennie. Sous le commissariat d’ l’exposition explore la mémoire collective, la prégnance des stéréotypes et des mécanismes d’effacement.

En 2023, figure iconique de la scène contemporaine américaine avait choisi d’accompagner , aujourd’hui lauréate du 2024. Leur exposition commune présentée au sein de la fondation, relatait la rencontre vibratoire, un dialogue intergénérationnel entre deux artistes qui rendent hommage aux corps invisibilisés.

ARTIST UPDATES - LORNA SIMPSON REIFFERS INITIATIVES 2023 MENTOR✨

, Reiffers Initiatives 2023 mentor, presents on the occasion of the 61st the exhibition « Third Person » at Punta della Dogana – Pinault Collection, in partnership with the in New York. Centered on the artist’s pictorial practice, this exhibition marks the most significant presentation of her work in Europe in over a decade. Curated by the exhibition explores collective memory, the persistence of stereotypes, and mechanisms of erasure.

In 2023, Lorna Simpson, an iconic figure of the American contemporary art scene, chose to accompany Gaëlle Choisne, now the laureate of the 2024 Prize. Their joint exhibition, presented at the foundation, reflected a vibrational encounter, an intergenerational dialogue between two artists paying tribute to marginalized and invisible bodies.

Née en 1991 à Lausanne, elle vit et travaille à Paris. Diplômée de l’École cantonale d’art de Lausanne, elle élabore un travail à la croisée de la sculpture et de l’installation.

Ses œuvres suggèrent des corporalités fragmentées, où intérieur et extérieur se rencontrent et se heurtent. La peau y apparaît comme un motif central : une membrane sensible, à la fois protectrice et perméable, envisagée comme une interface active. Loin d’une limite close, elle devient un espace d’échanges, biologiques, sensoriels et sociaux, où se rejoue en permanence la relation à l’autre et à l’environnement.
