Where you buy in Toulouse can completely change the life you have here. 🇫🇷🏡
A viewer asked me about buying a place during one of my LIVE walks through Toulouse.
I was walking through central Toulouse towards the Toulouse School of Economics/Canal de Brienne area, and we got talking about how choosing here would be very different from looking farther out, such as around Blagnac near the airport.
It isn't only about finding a property you like. It's about deciding what you want everyday life around that property to look like.
If you were moving to Toulouse, what would matter most: city centre, quiet neighbourhood, transport links or more space?

Everyone talks about visiting France.

But could you actually live in this version of it?

Away from the busiest streets and famous landmarks, life can mean quiet roads, ordinary parks, small villages and weekends surrounded by nature.

It looks peaceful—but for some people, it might feel too quiet.

Funny how the definition of a “rich life” can change.

At some point, more money, more things and a busier life can start to matter less than having time to breathe, people you love around you, good food, slower moments… and a little peace. 🌿🇫🇷

Maybe that’s part of what makes life in France so appealing to so many people — not because everything is perfect here, but because it can make you question what you actually want your everyday life to feel like.

**The biggest mistake people make when imagining life in France? 🇫🇷**

They imagine **one France.**

Often, it's Paris. 🗼

And Paris deserves its place in the dream.

But everyday life in France can look completely different depending on where you go.

It can be a neighbourhood market in Toulouse. 🌿
A Mediterranean morning in Provence. ☀️
A small town in Normandy. 🍎
A wild coastline in Brittany. 🌊
A mountain community near the Pyrenees. 🏔️

That's why I don't think the real question is:

**“What's the best place to live in France?”**

It's:

**“Which version of France actually fits the life I want?”**

Your budget, pace, priorities and idea of a good everyday life matter far more than choosing the place everyone else tells you to choose.

So I'm curious...

The older I get, the more my definition of a “good life” changes. 🤍

Less about having more. More about having time.
Time to explore somewhere new.
Time with people you care about.
Time to actually enjoy the life you’re building.

Maybe that’s part of why places like France make so many of us stop and imagine a different kind of life. 🇫🇷
