[LE STUDIUM Conference ]
Last week, LE STUDIUM had the pleasure of supporting the organisation of the three-day conference “𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐮𝐦𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐲: 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭)𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬”, held in Tours in collaboration with the laboratory Cultural and Discursive Interactions (ICD) / University of Tours - FR .
The scientific programme was expertly led by Anna Krykun, Liudmyla Harmash, Roxana Ilasca & Emmanuel Sejourne whose dedication and vision ensured the success of this stimulating event.
Over three inspiring days in Tours, researchers and scholars from diverse countries and disciplines came together to explore how literature contributes to the understanding, transmission and reinterpretation of traumatic experiences and collective memories.
From discussions on the war in Ukraine to perspectives from the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and South Asia, the conference fostered rich exchanges on the power of narratives to shape meaning, promote dialogue and deepen our understanding of post-conflict societies.
A heartfelt thank you to all speakers, participants and organisers for their valuable contributions and for making this event such a stimulating and thought-provoking experience.
