La partie avant tribord la plus endommagé de la coque a été découpée, laissant apparaitre la structure qui, elle aussi, est en mauvais état !!!
Un gros travail de décapage et peinture attend l'équipage 🥵🥵🥵

L'équipage sera présent du 7 au 10 mai au Camp US 2026 de Casson, organisé par nos amis et partenaires de PVA_Events 💪💪💪.
L'objectif de participer avec le navire à la prochaine édition de cet incroyable evenement est en bonne voie 😜😜😜.

L'équipe de compagnons de la SARL PÉPIN ET FILS est à pied d'œuvre sur le navire... ⛑️⛑️⛑️
Le sondage aux ultra-sons est en cours et ici aussi c'est un travail précis, long et fastidieux !!!🩺🩺🩺
Cette "radiographie" du navire nous permettra de connaitre les épaisseurs de tôle au 1/10ème de millimètre 📍📍📍
Prochaine étape la découpe des parties endommagées 🪚🪚🪚

The ultrasonic survey is underway, and here too, it's a precise, long, and painstaking job!!! 🩺🩺🩺
This "X-ray" of the ship will allow us to determine the sheet metal thicknesses to within 1/10th of a millimeter 📍📍📍

Un plaisir de travailler avec Augizeau Transports Exceptionnels !!! Contrairement aux apparences, 80 tonnes sur la route c'est un travail de haute précision. 🚛🚛🚛
Une super équipe qui c'est occupé du navire avec grand soin 👍👍👍.

Il y a quelques semaines, nous avons transporté avec succès une barge du débarquement de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, le LCM-6 jusqu'à la SARL PÉPIN ET FILS à Triaize (85), pour entamer une nouvelle étape de sa restauration ⚓✨

Une opération délicate menée avec précision et fierté !
Et surtout, une belle continuité pour ce navire rare, confié à une entreprise qui le connaît depuis plusieurs générations 🔧

Une partie de l'équipage sera présent Dimanche sur le Port de Noirmoutier Ville de Noirmoutier-en-l'Île lors de la Fête du Port organisé par Association La Chaloupe. ⚓️⚓️⚓️

La barre à roue du navire à été démontée, sablée et métallisée par le matelot Alex GrumpyBoy 😁.
Elle sera bientôt repeinte et recouverte de chanvre polie sur la partie extérieur fidèle à l'origine 👍👍👍

Le sablage des œuvres vives est terminé...
-5 tonnes de sable ⏳⏳
-90 litres de gasoil 😢😢
-De la poussière dans tous les coins 😤😤
Le sondage de la coque va pouvoir débuter 🤞🤞🤞.
Un grand bravo à tous nos amis passionnés de ce patrimoine étrange et unique pour leur aide indéfectible 🥰🥰🥰
Et surtout félicitation à l'équipe "Travaux" du navire qui a passée 5 jours à travailler dans le bruit et la poussière 💪💪 !!!

Tout l'équipage s'affaire autour du navire !!! Les préparatifs pour le sablage sont terminés et le démontage de l'ancienne timonerie avance. 🛠️🛠️🛠️.
Tous les caissons sont ouverts et vidangés et laissent apparaitre pour certains d'entre eux l'état de corrosion de certaines partis du navire... La dernière grande restauration datait de 2005, il était temps d'intervenir !!!

The entire crew is busy working on the ship! Preparations for sandblasting are complete, and the dismantling of the old wheelhouse is progressing. 🛠️🛠️🛠️
All the compartments have been opened and drained, revealing the extent of corrosion in some parts of the ship... The last major restoration was in 2005; it was high time to take action!

Thank you to all our partners for your support. The ship still needs your help to continue sailing and to be able to participate in the next major commemorations of the Normandy Landings in 2029. 🤩🤩🤩
