Nigerian Association Picardie France.

The Nigerian Association in Picardie, registered under 1901 association laws in France, is dedicated towards promoting unity, love and respect among Nigerians in diaspora in Picardie region in France as well as galvanising their collective resource of talent, treasure and time of Nigerians towards development in France. The goal is as follows:

I. Participate in the development of Nigerians in di

aspora in France in culture, diversity, values, languages, vocational training, profession, skills, education, scientific and cultural mediation in France. To ensure the welfare and development of Nigerians in Picardie and ensure that they contribute to the development of their host communities in the Picardie region, France and their respective home states in Nigeria. Develop and facilitate national and international network of members who advocate principles of cultural mediation whereas :
⇒ The French culture is incorporate the principle of equality, liberty and fraternity one hand and the Nigerian culture incorporate the principle of unity, faith and peace on the other hand as part of the values unique to the two cultures.
⇒ The process of cultural mediation has the objective of facilitating relations between local and foreign citizens, intended to promote reciprocal knowledge and comprehension aimed at favouring a positive relationship between subjects of different cultural backgrounds. The main characterising elements of cultural mediators are communicative competence, empathy, active listening and good knowledge of both the hosting country and country of origin (culture, laws, traditions, etc.)
