TEDxCIFE is an independently organised TED event, which is set up by the Centre international de formation européenne (CIFE) in Nice, France. On 16 October 2021 we will organise our second TEDx event in Nice, France, on the topic of "REconnecting" - with ourselves, with others, with nature, with our ideals, visions and dreams. We believe that we are living in a crucial period of change – with all

its fascinating potential, challenges and risks. Our first TEDxCIFE event took place on 7 October 2017 and tackled the theme "Transition" as we believe that the world is in a crucial transition period – the concept of transition covering, for sure, a wide range of areas. We tackled topics such as transition to new economy, transition to different careers, transition to a new food culture etc. CIFE is a private institution of higher education and research, founded in 1954 with its head office in Nice and branch offices in Berlin, Brussels and Istanbul. Every year, students from all continents and a great variety of countries enroll in its programmes, which lead to a degree at Master level (EQF 7) recognised by the French state.

After a long pause of almost two years, we are looking forward to turning the page from a virtual to a real life again. For some, the period we are leaving behind gives an incentive to reconnect with who we are, with nature, with our “self”.
The second TEDxCIFE event seeks to explore the richness that lies within the idea of “Reconnecting”. We have selected this theme as we believe that the world is in a crucial transition period – with all its fascinating potential, challenges and risks.
TEDxCIFE will take place on 16 October 2021 in Nice.
