SEAL Ashram, Mumbai

SEAL Ashram, Mumbai SEAL is an NGO dedicated to the mission of rescuing destitute and helpless people from the streets and railway stations of Mumbai and Navi Mumbai ft.

SEAL (Social & Evangelical Association for Love) is a non-governmental effort to rehabilitate the destitute from the streets and Railway platforms of Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, situated at New Panvel (New Bombay), Maharashtra, India. SEAL had a humble beginning on 15th November 1999 with a noble vision divinely imparted by God the Almighty. Our main focus is to rescue the destitute, give them food, s

helter, supervised medical care and especially share the love of God. Thereafter, find out the whereabouts of the person and reunite them with their families. If no one comes across to receive them then SEAL will be the permanent abode. Presently in our shelter home nearly 200 underprivileged people mainly HIV & TB, patients, mentally challenged, handicapped, visually impaired and fully orphaned, leading a meaningful life. You may see the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GC71yCc7ipk to know more about our work. So far SEAL could reunify 200 people back to their long awaiting dear families to all over India; otherwise they might have been thrown in oblivion forever. Most of them were vagabonds and missing from home for long periods. Above and all SEAL is proud that we could provide a peaceful, mercy death bed and funeral / burial with dignity to 203 dear ones among the destitute we gathered from Mumbai City and elsewhere at terminal stages and with fatal diseases, those who were supposed to die as stray dogs. Our God's Valley Mission School educates our 46 children whom we have rescued till date. Most of these kids are sick, HIV/AIDs infected, handicapped, blind and are unable to get admission in outside schools because of their sickness and over age. We have classes up to 7th standard with dedicated teachers to give them education. Today, SEAL is one of the major referral points for more than 25 NGOs, Mumbai Police, Navi Mumbai Police, Railway Police, Medical Colleges, Municipal Hospitals and well-wishers in the city. The National dailies like Times of India, Hindustan Times and other formidable papers reckon our modus operandi in rescue and reunification being covered. We have 13 acres of land at New Panvel and have constructed more than 25,000 sq. area for our shelter homes, school, kitchen, dining hall and office facility. SEAL also has immediate plans for expansion and wants to provide better facilities to the current and future residents. We have started the construction of our 5th floor Mercy Mines Building to give separate and proper accommodation with better facility to our girls and boys separately. We also wish to have our own hospital facility in the same building as we are facing lot of problem to give proper medication to the patients whom we rescue from the street. We are also blessed with 23 dedicated staff and many volunteers who shoulder the mission along with us. So far SEAL does not have any permanent supporters either in India or abroad but God the Almighty is taking us through miraculously with His Heavenly provision. Thank you all for your love, care and support. May God bless you all richly!!!

What a Transformation – It's Possible!

On November 5, 2023, we found Sunil Khare abandoned in a locked, building in Seawoods. Trapped with no way out, he was left in despair—until we, with the help of the NRI Police, jumped the fence to rescue him. His right foot had suffered severe transformation due to prolonged neglect, yet even in his broken state, God's mercy was evident.

Even in the most forgotten places, He sends the right people at the right time. Today, Sunil is safe with us. He has grown deeply attached, often sharing stories of his past, holding us as he cries, and finding comfort in knowing he is not alone.

We solicit your prayer for Sunil. Every day, we witness the power of love and compassion. Healing is possible. Transformation is real. And no one is ever too lost to be found.

Joy of Reunification❤️
On June 2, 2023, Priya Panchal was found lying on the road in front of the Sub-District Hospital Panvel. Her condition was critical—her head was severely maggot-infested, with two deep holes on both sides. Her face was swollen, and bricks had been placed around her, likely to prevent any vehicle from running over her.

Seeing her desperate state, the SEAL team immediately intervened. We took her to the SEAL Ashram, where we carefully cleaned her wounds before rushing her to the hospital at midnight. By God’s grace, she received the necessary medical care and, over time, made a full recovery.

Miraculously, not only did her wounds heal completely, but we were also able to trace her family. After reconnecting with them, her loved ones visited her, and she was joyfully reunited with them. This was yet another testimony of God’s mercy and the power of love and compassion.

Amar's Family is Waiting!!

On January 25, 2025, our team at SEAL, with the support of the Railway Police, rescued Amar Singh from Panvel Station. He was found in a critical condition, suffering from a maggot-infested wound and a broken right lower limb.

Without delay, we bathed, cleaned, and provided him with initial care before rushing him to MGM Hospital for urgent medical attention. Given the severity of his condition, we feared that his leg might need to be amputated.
However, by God’s grace, the doctors informed us that a rod could be inserted to save his leg. It was nothing short of a miracle, and we were overjoyed!

Initially, Amar Singh had difficulty walking, but with medical care and determination, his condition has significantly improved.

Currently, we are doing everything possible to trace Amar Singh’s identity and whereabouts. If anyone has any information about him or his family, please reach out to us. Every lead could help reunite him with his loved ones.

SEAL remains committed to rescuing and restoring lives, one person at a time.

Good News – Uzma’s Family Found After 7 Months✨️

On 8th November 2024, Uzma Shaikh was brought to SEAL by Pant Nagar Police in a heartbreaking state—severely weak, with maggot-infested wounds. After receiving immediate care and treatment at MGM Medical College, she began her journey to recovery.

Good News: After seven months of being missing, Uzma’s family in Madhya Pradesh has been found! She was able to speak to them for the first time via video call, bringing tears of joy to her two children and siblings. Her whole family was overjoyed, overwhelmed with emotions, and relieved to finally hear her voice again. By God’s grace, they are now preparing to come to SEAL Ashram and take her home.

It was truly God’s way and grace that led to this reunion. The drastic change in Uzma’s face and daily activities is a testament to the power of care, love, and compassion.

We sincerely thank everyone who helped circulate this message on social media—your efforts made this possible! Soon, Uzma will finally be back where she belongs—with her family.

Lala, a young disabled boy who cannot speak, was found begging at Mumbra railway station. With no family to care for him, he spent his nights in a public toilet—alone, vulnerable, and forgotten by the world. Seeing his heartbreaking condition, we knew we had to act.

With the help of the police, we rescued Lala on 17th July 2024, bringing him to our Rapha Center, a place of healing and hope. Now, after more than seven months with us, he moves around in a wheelchair, surrounded by love and care. Though he cannot speak, his bright eyes and warm smile say more than words ever could.

His presence reminds us that every life is valuable, and every soul deserves a chance to thrive. Lala’s journey is a testament to the power of compassion, and seeing his transformation fills our hearts with immeasurable joy.
