Hello everybody and welcome back!

Maintenant que les vacances sont terminées, il est temps de vous remettre à l’anglais !
Now the holidays are over, it is high time you came back to improve your English!

Venez donc vous (ré)inscrire lors de notre
Journée Portes Ouvertes le samedi 19 septembre de 10h à 17h sans interruption.

Comme l'année dernière, les cours et groupes de conversation démarreront tout de suite dans la foulée (starting straight away), savoir
à partir du lundi 21 septembre.

Vous trouverez ci-dessous le programme et les bulletins d'inscription pour les différents groupes et activités proposés, sans oublier le Scrabble en anglais un mardi sur deux (sans avoir besoin d’un super niveau - just for fun).

Nouveauté cette année : Mots croisés simplifiés, juste après le Scrabble un mardi sur deux.

Nous avons dit "Bye bye" à Brian qui n'assurera plus les groupes de jeudi après-midi. Il n'y aura donc plus de conversations en distanciel mais, pour notre grand plaisir, Patti-Ann animera un groupe en présentiel de 14h30 à 15h45 toutes les semaines.

Nous vous invitons à éplucher (take a thorough look at) tous ces documents, pour être sûrs de ne rien rater (so you make sure you don't miss anything) !

N'oublions pas nos enfants et jeunes pour lesquels vous trouverez également joint un flyer pour le « Fun English », joli nom donné aux Clubs Juniors pour enfants et jeunes du samedi matin. N’hésitez pas à (ré)inscrire vos enfants / jeunes et à faire de la publicité autour de vous ! Ces groupes reprendront avec Mojca le samedi 26.

Si vous ne pouvez pas passer nous voir (if you cannot make it) le samedi 19, vous pourrez nous retourner votre bulletin par mail au préablable.

Vous pouvez bien sûr continuer de régler par chèque(s) ou par virement bancaire mais attention aux coordonnées bancaires au Crédit Mutuel car nous ne sommes plus à la Société Générale mais surtout précisez bien votre mode de paiement en cochant la bonne case sur le bulletin correspondant à l'activité de votre choix, pour que notre valeureux Trésorier puisse suivre ! Make sure you tick the right box!

Venez donc nombreux nous retrouver avec notre équipe de gentils animateurs et vous (ré)-inscrire le samedi 19.

Hello everyone

The school year is coming to an end, so are our activities at AFGB. We had a wonderful time at the Garden Party
and now we are looking forward to our last event of the year - a trip to The Cornishman, on Saturday 20th June, at 5 pm, not on the 13th as previously scheduled, owing to Gay Pride drawing a large crowd and disrupting public transport.

If you wish to join us, please complete the form below, if you wish to pay by PayAsso, you can use the form regardless of the date on it.

We hope you have all enjoyed this year with us and trust that you have all made progress in the English language.

Please check with your group leaders when your particular groups are coming to an end, as dates vary.

We very much look forward to seeing you again at the Open Day on Saturday, 19th September, with all your groups and classes resuming as from Monday 21st.

You will be receiving the registration forms in due course.

🙌🏻The last lap of the school year is now in sight so, at AFGB, that can only mean one thing...

🥳 the GARDEN PARTY !

📅 This year it is to be held on Saturday, 30th May at 3.30 pm

🌿in the Bd St Aignan neighbourhood, where our friends Marie-Dominique & Philippe have kindly agreed to host it once more.
The exact address will be given to you once we know you are coming.

You will find the form below, where you will see not only our bank account details so you can pay by transfer but also the PayAsso link if you wish to pay directly by credit card. Of course, you can still pay by cheque or cash and, however you choose to pay, you will find printed copies at HQ that you can use.

After the Garden Party, the fun will not be over as we shall be returning to The Cornishman on Saturday, 13th June for cake & tea (or something stronger!) It was a great success in April but several of our working friends were unable to join us so hopefully on a Saturday they will be able to come this time. Fingers crossed!

Your groups & lessons will be ending in June at your leaders' discretion so please consult them for exact dates, after which we shall be closed for the summer holidays.

We shall then be back for the Open Day on Saturday, 19th September, with groups and lessons resuming on the 21st. It is a long way off but it would be useful, for organisational purposes, if you could let us know before then whether you intend to continue improving your English with us next year.

[TEA TIME] As you can see, our first « Tea Time or something stronger » was a great success yesterday at The Cornishman pub in Nantes town centre, with home-made cakes & biscuits and a great atmosphere, both inside and out.

There were 14 of us, including 6 Brits so the conversation was rich - like the proverbial tailor!

As we all enjoyed ourselves so much, we plan to do it again in June, so come and join us!
