Hello everyone

The school year is coming to an end, so are our activities at AFGB. We had a wonderful time at the Garden Party
and now we are looking forward to our last event of the year - a trip to The Cornishman, on Saturday 20th June, at 5 pm, not on the 13th as previously scheduled, owing to Gay Pride drawing a large crowd and disrupting public transport.

If you wish to join us, please complete the form below, if you wish to pay by PayAsso, you can use the form regardless of the date on it.

We hope you have all enjoyed this year with us and trust that you have all made progress in the English language.

Please check with your group leaders when your particular groups are coming to an end, as dates vary.

We very much look forward to seeing you again at the Open Day on Saturday, 19th September, with all your groups and classes resuming as from Monday 21st.

You will be receiving the registration forms in due course.

🙌🏻The last lap of the school year is now in sight so, at AFGB, that can only mean one thing...

🥳 the GARDEN PARTY !

📅 This year it is to be held on Saturday, 30th May at 3.30 pm

🌿in the Bd St Aignan neighbourhood, where our friends Marie-Dominique & Philippe have kindly agreed to host it once more.
The exact address will be given to you once we know you are coming.

You will find the form below, where you will see not only our bank account details so you can pay by transfer but also the PayAsso link if you wish to pay directly by credit card. Of course, you can still pay by cheque or cash and, however you choose to pay, you will find printed copies at HQ that you can use.

After the Garden Party, the fun will not be over as we shall be returning to The Cornishman on Saturday, 13th June for cake & tea (or something stronger!) It was a great success in April but several of our working friends were unable to join us so hopefully on a Saturday they will be able to come this time. Fingers crossed!

Your groups & lessons will be ending in June at your leaders' discretion so please consult them for exact dates, after which we shall be closed for the summer holidays.

We shall then be back for the Open Day on Saturday, 19th September, with groups and lessons resuming on the 21st. It is a long way off but it would be useful, for organisational purposes, if you could let us know before then whether you intend to continue improving your English with us next year.

[TEA TIME] As you can see, our first « Tea Time or something stronger » was a great success yesterday at The Cornishman pub in Nantes town centre, with home-made cakes & biscuits and a great atmosphere, both inside and out.

There were 14 of us, including 6 Brits so the conversation was rich - like the proverbial tailor!

As we all enjoyed ourselves so much, we plan to do it again in June, so come and join us!
