Some info for this weekend’s Lugdunum CLG Cool Camp for kids and families 🏐☘️

📍 Saturday from 10am–12pm at Stade Pierre Dodille, Lyon 5. (You can arrive from 9.30 onwards and we will kick off at 10)

If anyone would still like to sign up or bring along some friends, don’t hesitate — we still have space available!

🚗 Parking: There is plenty of parking available around the stadium.

🚇 Public transport: Bus C20 / 45 / 90 all stop nearby

🏐 A short rundown of the morning:
• Fun Gaelic football drills and games by age group
• We’ll have a short break midway through
• And finish with some gentle hurling and rounders

☕ 🧁 🍌 We’ll provide coffees, snacks, and drinks.

👕 🧢 As this is part of the GAA Europe Day Go Games, we have been sent over some nice goodies for everyone to bring home.

🧺 Afterwards, we suggest everyone brings along a sandwich or packed lunch and we can head to the nearby park for a little picnic once the Cool Camp finishes at 12. 🇮🇪 🇫🇷

Ils sont de Nice, Angers, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Grenoble, Le Havre, Le Mans, Lille, Mondeville, Montpellier, Niort, Paris, Strasbourg ou encore Toulouse et tous rassemblés par la passion du sport n°1 en Irlande, le football gaélique.

Hi all, final reminder that our first major event of 2026, our annual Céili, is tomorrow night (Friday 16th January) at the CCVA in Villeurbanne, doors opening at 7pm.

We are Hervé DEVILLER and Anne Marie O'TOOLE DEVILLER. We are husband and wif. I am french and Anne marie is Irish from Furbo, County Galway. We are living in Villefranche sur saone since 2011 but lived in Lyon before.
We met Eoin when training in Gaelic football and attended some AFIL events (ceili and Xmass party).
2 years ago I already contacted some of you to raise funds for ARSLA, an association for research for Charcot's disease. The Consulate General of Ireland, Lyon is hosting a welcome event for Irish students studying in Lyon and its surrounding area on Thursday the 2nd of October at 6:00pm in the Goethe-Institut Lyon - Centre Culturel Allemand, 18 Rue François Dauphin 69002 Lyon.

This event is open to students taking part in the Erasmus+ programme through Irish institutions in 2025/26, as well as full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students from Ireland who are pursuing studies in France.
