We had an amazing time leading the Speak4Unity training in Milan! 🇮🇹

Alongside our wonderful partners Jugend am Werk Steiermark , Quality Culture EU , Tandem Plus , and Meath Partnership we explored game-based learning and how playful tools can spark meaningful dialogue around empathy, inclusion, and counteracting hate speech.

-AI wrapped up its 24-month Erasmus+ journey with a final conference in Poland, bringing together partners, artists, and youth from across Europe to celebrate the project's outcomes.

Coordinated by Folias Social Cooperative alongside 6 partners from 5 countries, the initiative set out to make AI accessible and understandable for young creatives and youth workers, tackling the cultural bias in AI development highlighted by UNESCO.

The Poland conference featured an awards ceremony and the presentation of the project's virtual exhibition, showcasing artworks created by young artists during the training paths and hackathon.

The event closed the project on a clear note: AI is a tool worth understanding critically, but it will never replace human creativity: it's the uniqueness of each person's stories that truly makes the difference.

And there's no perfect platform, if you don't have a story to tell! 💜

🎮 Exciting days in Milan! Our team came together for a training session for youth workers and to test our brand-new Minecraft game in action. 🧩

Speak 4 Unity is a European project that empowers young people to counter hate speech and promote social inclusion, using non-formal education, creative tools like storytelling and games, and peer support to build understanding between national and migrant youth.

The Minecraft world we're testing lets players explore empathy, make inclusive choices, and understand the consequences of hate... all while having fun! 🌍💬

To wrap up the training, the group visited STEP FuturAbility District, Milan's museum of the future, for a hands-on look at innovation and technology shaping tomorrow. 🚀🔮

It's great to see the project come to life and get real feedback from the people who will use it every day.

YOUR-AI: E-learning Platform Piloting and Hackathon

As part of the Erasmus+ "YOUR.AI" project, two training days were held, organised by the Folias Cooperativa Sociale.
Through an open call, young artists aged between 17 and 30 were selected to experiment and test the recently developed e-learning platform and the new training course on the use of artificial intelligence to enhance the creative process.

🖥️ On the first day of the training, the young artists began to explore the world of AI and the best tools to support them in their artistic work. They reflected on the possibilities and the risks of AI, and shared their concerns and hopes for their future and the future of art.

🎨 During the hackathon, the young artists finally challenged themselves and used the insights and skills they developed to create original and innovative works of art.

🏛️ The completed artworks will be featured in a digital art exhibition. This will give the young artists the chance to connect with other young artists from the other countries in the partnership, to share thoughts, feelings and experiences!

✈️ What’s more, two young artists have been selected to take part in the project’s grand final event, to be held in Poland this summer, a fantastic opportunity for exchange and dialogue on the themes of art, artificial intelligence and how to navigate the challenges of an ever-changing world!

Here Comes The Sun!

We live in an era where Europe's main expenditure is rearmament and war.

We are not that Europe!

Last week, we shared and reiterated this certainty loudly in the council chamber of the Municipality of Monterotondo, where we had the honor and joy of hosting the 18th general assembly of the European Tandem Plus network.

Tandem Plus is part of our history and is a European association comprising 23 organizations from 15 different European countries, working in the fields of social services and education.

Tandem is a true network, made up of diverse social, economic, and cultural hands, which have come together to cooperate and chart new paths and new opportunities for the future.

Over these 18 years, we have built and are building the true Europe, a Europe of people, where we are fortunate to meet so many people and generations from different backgrounds, building valuable skills and relationships together. And today what remains is not just a working method, or yet another business venture, but a great emotion that moves the world and unites the desire to build, think, exchange, and celebrate with an awareness of the injustices and inequalities that govern our lives.

At the opening of the meeting, we were greeted in the frescoed halls of Palazzo Orsini by Mayor Riccardo Varone and Councilor for Social Services Alessandra Clementini.

The program included the usual assembly activities (approval of budgets and introduction of new members), working groups and exchanges at the splendid location provided by mayda-mayda.it. We also participated in and enjoyed a wonderful City Games to discover the city and its social services, masterfully led by the students and staff of the Orientation Center.

Finally, the party! A magnificent and explosive soul party, attended by countless residents of Monterotondo and the surrounding area, at the legendary Cantiere, thanks to the Lost Soul Band, undoubtedly our favorite band for the past 30 years.

Recebidos pelos nossos parceiros de colegas de longos anos .
Dia 18 dedicado a aprovação de contas, relatórios de actividades, entrada de novos membros da Sardenha e Bósnia, e grupos de trabalho para definir novas candidaturas a projectos europeus.
Dia 19, visita a diversos serviços sociais da comunidade e ligados ao nosso anfitrião, acompanhados e guiados por um grupo de jovens com incapacidades.
Mais um ano de trabalho social e de dedicação a populações excluídas de todos os membros desta rede.

19th General Assembly of the European Tandem Plus Network
Over the last two days, the General Assembly of the family took place in Monterodondo-Rome.
Welcomed by our long-time partners and colleagues .
Day 18 was dedicated to the approval of accounts, activity reports, the entry of new members from Sardinia and Bosnia, and working groups to define new applications for European projects.
Day 19, a visit to various social services in the community and linked to our host, accompanied and guided by a group of young people with disabilities.
Another year of social work and dedication to excluded populations from all members of this network.
