The European Commission, in collaboration with the Junta de Andalucía and the Interreg Europe ENLIA project, is organising a training on the Environmental Liability Directive (ELD) 2004/35/EC and its implementation in Spain.

The training will take place in Seville from 19 to 21 October 2026, bringing together competent authorities, public administration professionals, environmental law and regulatory experts, risk management specialists and other stakeholders working on environmental liability.

The event will also welcome representatives from other European countries and ENLIA partner regions.

🌱 How can rural regions attract international talent and help newcomers build a life there?

Across Europe, rural areas are facing growing labour and skills shortages. At the same time, third-country nationals represent an important pool of skills and talent that many rural labour markets still underuse.
