CMBL Blénod : Thomas is building a new F2C model called Hybrid 2026. It means a MP25/26 fuselage with Igoshin wing. This assembly was successfully tested by Roland Surugue in 2024/2025. Here's the making-of pictures of the fuselage construction. Next Saturday, the wing will be reattached to the fuselage.

Following questions in the comments, here's a quick description of the event. This was shot during the Control Line World Championships in Australia (you can search it).

The class flown on video is called F2A, speed. Models with 2.5cc engines, with a tuned exhaust pipe, methanol/castor oil fuel mix, no nitro.

The goal is to be the fastest on 1 kilometer. The timing starts shortly after the pilot engages his handle in the pylon, and lasts 9 laps.

The speed reached on video is 303.1 km/h (Just under 190 mph).
