The promotion of classical musical culture in Lagrasse through the organisation and promotion of an annual festival and concerts. One of the most beautiful villages in south west France, Lagrasse, plays host to an international line-up of young pianists for the annual EN BLANC ET NOIR festival. Founded in 2013 by the music journalist Robert Turnbull to provide opportunities to gifted young pianist

s embarking on solo careers, En Blanc et Noir takes place in the historic heart of Lagrasse, some 30 km south of Carcassonne, where the covered 12th century open-air marketplace provides a dramatic concert venue with fine acoustics. Listening to Mozart or Debussy, Brahms or Gershwin under the stars offers audiences a magical and completely unique experience.

Such beautiful moments and a heartfelt closing to the festivities 🎁 with a tribute to the legendary Michel Legrand

We laughed, we sang along, we cheered, we hugged, we enjoyed a summer evening at the Place de la Halle, Lagrasse

Mirabelle had the crowd under a spell with her mastery of the classical, modern and contemporary repertoire at the festival’s second to last concert the 14th edition

A finalist of the Queen Elizabeth International Competition in 2025 it is easy to see why.
kajenjeri took us on a journey to Spain, Germany, Ukraine, Poland & France 🇫🇷with such command and grace

The evocation of birds 🎶🕊️in the Ukrainian suite were (as if by magic 🪄) joyfully enhanced by the swifts flying over Lagrasse

WOW. 🎤💥. No words. Speechless. All of Lagrasse is talking about the concert that changed us all. There is a clear before and after at played a jaw dropping and mood lifting and deeply felt concert.

For those asking, albums are sold out but you can order direct with the band and we will definitely be welcoming them back anytime they want to play the festival or a concert in Lagrasse.

Truly an out of body experience and equally an embodied one. Speechless. A spontaneous and intimate performance inside L’eglise Saint Michael led by

A sound bath of saxophone and organ and percussion ✨listeners of the festival were led on a journey 🌀such a special experience

So grateful and looking forward to next year’s installation should we be so lucky 🪄🫶🏼

Serious firebird energy 🐦‍🔥

Listen to the finale of this incredibly powerful piece by Stravinsky, originally a ballet (and also in Disney’s Fantasia 2000😉)

We experienced the piano 🎹transcription of the ballet at yesterday’s 18h performance from the talented of Amsterdam who held the tension and suspense of the piece so effortlessly and in the summer heat no less !

Bravo.

Duo Kolar, a violinist and pianist mixing Ukrainian music with Portuguese music talk about the warmth and community musicians find at the festival in Lagrasse

and shared an emotional and moving performance on Monday night serenading us with tales of two cultures as if in conversation and dialogue with the other

Tour de France in Lagrasse on Day 5 of the Festival serenaded the crowd as the 🚴🚴🏼‍♀️🚴‍♂️sped through the village
