Noah Hassler-Forest from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 and Spain 🇪🇸

Original and cover material with powerful harmonies and real musicianship and virtuoso playing, they really impressed with their jazz and world music infused take on Bluegrass. It’s easy to see why they won 1st prize in the Rotterdam Bluegrass band contest and we are delighted to introduce them to our audience in La Roche.

Avec des compositions originales et des reprises aux harmonies puissantes, un véritable sens musical et un jeu virtuose, ils ont vraiment impressionné par leur interprétation du bluegrass teintée de jazz et de musiques du monde. On comprend aisément pourquoi ils ont remporté le premier prix du concours de groupes de bluegrass de Rotterdam, et nous sommes ravis de les présenter à notre public à La Roche.

🇬🇧🇺🇸 Here’s Veranda showcasing their excitement about performing at Bluegrass in La Roche this summer 🎻

🗓️ Friday 31st July at 11pm

More exciting news: Veranda is the recipient of the 2026 IBMA International Band Performance Grant! 🌎

As the 2026 grant recipient, Veranda will travel to Chattanooga, Tennessee this October to perform at IBMA World of Bluegrass and return to the U.S. in 2027 for a full summer tour.

Autre nouvelle réjouissante : Veranda est la lauréate de la bourse internationale IBMA 2026 pour les groupes musicaux ! 🌎

En tant que lauréat de la bourse 2026, Veranda se rendra à Chattanooga, dans le Tennessee, en octobre prochain pour se produire à l’IBMA World of Bluegrass, puis reviendra aux États-Unis en 2027 pour une tournée estivale complète.

Blue Lass from Great Britain 🇬🇧

Blue Lass is following a growing tradition here at La Roche, having played the Street Festival before being invited to play as a "Young Talent" artist on the Day Stage in 2024. That show earned them a recall to the Main Stage this year. They have plenty of musical talent that they put to good use. We enjoyed their mix of Bluegrass with Old Time and Folk music, in both original songs and covers, that reflect a broad range of influences - not only from acoustic music. We can't wait to see them again!

Blue Lass de la Grande Bretagne 🇬🇧

Blue Lass s'inscrit dans une tradition qui prend de l'ampleur ici à La Roche : après s'être produit au Street Festival, le groupe a été invité à se produire en tant qu'« artiste jeune talent » sur la scène Day Stage en 2024. Cette prestation leur a valu d'être rappelés sur la scène principale cette année. Ils possèdent un talent musical certain qu'ils savent mettre à profit. Nous avons apprécié leur mélange de bluegrass, de musique old-time et de folk, tant dans leurs compositions originales que dans leurs reprises, qui reflète un large éventail d'influences – et pas seulement issues de la musique acoustique. Nous avons hâte de les revoir !

The Sentimental Gentlemen from USA 🇺🇸

The Sentimental Gentlemen are part of the buzzing East Nashville Bluegrass community that know and play with everybody in every style. As a band they form a powerhouse collective that seamlessly blends deep-rooted traditional bluegrass with fresh, contemporary influences. The core members of the band, Josh, Oliver and Jeff, have backed some top artists on tours around the world and currently enjoy their day job as Sierra Ferrell’s touring band.

Les Sentimental Gentlemen font partie de la communauté bluegrass très dynamique d’East Nashville, où tout le monde se connaît et joue ensemble, tous styles confondus. En tant que groupe, ils forment un collectif puissant qui mêle harmonieusement le bluegrass traditionnel profondément enraciné à des influences contemporaines et novatrices. Les membres fondateurs du groupe, Josh, Oliver et Jeff, ont accompagné certains des plus grands artistes lors de tournées à travers le monde et occupent actuellement le poste de groupe de tournée de Sierra Ferrell.

Piotr Bulas & Garage Folk from Poland 🇵🇱

We know Piotr in La Roche because of the beautiful banjos and mandolins he shows in the Luthier’s Hall every year. We finally got to see the band at the EBMA 2025 summit in Prague and we were impressed enough to invite them to play on the main stage at Bluegrass in La Roche this year. They play quite traditional Bluegrass with contemporary style covers and plenty of original songs — all with a nice touch of humour. They will provide us with an important moment of joy.

Piotr Bulas & Garage Folk de Pologne 🇵🇱

Nous connaissons Piotr à La Roche grâce aux magnifiques banjos et mandolines qu’il expose chaque année dans la salle des luthiers. Nous avons enfin pu voir le groupe lors du sommet EBMA 2025 à Prague et nous avons été suffisamment impressionnés pour les inviter à jouer sur la scène principale du Bluegrass à La Roche cette année. Ils jouent un bluegrass assez traditionnel, avec des reprises dans un style contemporain et de nombreuses chansons originales — le tout avec une touche d’humour bienvenue. Ils nous offriront un moment de joie inoubliable.

Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra from Norway 🇳🇴

In 2022, two non US bands were making all the noise at IBMA WOB in Raleigh. One of them being Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra from Norway. Firstly, they were nominated for 2 “Momentum” awards (for young artists): band of the year, and vocalist of the year; secondly their song selection, tasteful arrangements, generosity of spirit and sheer talent made everyone want to see them and be their friend. We have not been able to get them to La Roche because it seems they are always touring the United States, but luckily this year they have been able to fit us in between two tours. We are very excited to introduce them to the European Bluegrass community.

Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra de Norvège 🇳🇴

En 2022, deux groupes non américains ont fait sensation à l’IBMA WOB de Raleigh. L’un d’entre eux était le Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra, originaire de Norvège. D’une part, ils ont été nominés pour deux prix « Momentum » (destinés aux jeunes artistes) : groupe de l’année et chanteur de l’année ; d’autre part, leur répertoire, leurs arrangements raffinés, leur générosité d’esprit et leur talent pur ont donné envie à tout le monde de les voir et de devenir leur ami. Nous n’avons pas réussi à les faire venir à La Roche car ils semblent être constamment en tournée aux États-Unis, mais heureusement, cette année, ils ont pu nous caser entre deux tournées. Nous sommes très heureux de les présenter à la communauté bluegrass européenne.

Tim O’Connor from France 🇫🇷, Ireland 🇮🇪 and United-Kingdom 🇬🇧

Tim is an Irishman living locally in Aix-les-Bains who played the festival in 2009. He is a veritable 21st century troubadour and prolific singer-songwriter, travelling between France, the UK and Ireland and crossing cultures to play his music that switches effortlessly between folk, Irish, blues and rock. Always interesting; always tasteful, he plays in many guises.

Tim O’Connor de France 🇫🇷, d’Irlande 🇮🇪 et de Grande Bretagne 🇬🇧

Tim est un Irlandais qui vit à Aix-les-Bains et qui s'est produit au festival en 2009. Véritable troubadour du XXIe siècle et auteur-compositeur-interprète prolifique, il voyage entre la France, le Royaume-Uni et l'Irlande, mêlant les cultures pour jouer une musique qui oscille avec aisance entre folk, musique irlandaise, blues et rock. Toujours captivant et toujours de bon goût, il se produit sous de multiples facettes.

No Man’s Land from Denmark 🇩🇰, Netherlands 🇳🇱, Slovakia 🇸🇰, Belgium 🇧🇪 and USA 🇺🇸

As more events happen across Europe, musicians meet and jam; they build connections and look forward to the next meeting until one day something special happens. No Man’s Land is a great example of that, showing that European Bluegrass is becoming more “European” and also more … feminine! These ladies now form a genuine “supergroup” of top European talent on their individual instruments. We are proud to be the first major European festival to introduce them to the world as a full band.

No Man’s Land du Danemark 🇩🇰, des Pays-Bas 🇳🇱, de Slovaquie 🇸🇰, de Belgique 🇧🇪 et des États-Unis 🇺🇸

À mesure que les événements se multiplient à travers l’Europe, les musiciens se rencontrent et improvisent ensemble ; ils tissent des liens et attendent avec impatience la prochaine rencontre, jusqu’à ce qu’un jour, quelque chose de spécial se produise. No Man’s Land en est un excellent exemple, démontrant que le bluegrass européen devient de plus en plus « européen » et aussi de plus en plus… féminin ! Ces femmes forment désormais un véritable « supergroupe » réunissant les meilleurs talents européens sur leurs instruments respectifs. Nous sommes fiers d’être le premier grand festival européen à les présenter au monde entier en tant que groupe à part entière.
