We’re excited to announce new research findings about sleep!
The new research, funded by the Moebius Syndrome Foundation, has documented higher probable rates of sleep disorders in people with Moebius syndrome. Study participants held higher rates of REM disturbances, increased frequency of probable nightmares compared to the general U.S. population, and had difficulty managing finding improvements to their sleep.
Kathleen Bogart, PhD, summarized these new findings in a recent Psychology Today article: https://bit.ly/MSFSleep The full text of the research can be found on our website in our research article collection: https://bit.ly/MSFSleepResearch

Four key points with text from the article are featured around imagery of sleep-related objects like stars, clouds, a bed with pillows, a clock with a chart to track sleep cycles, a person meditating next to a sleep mask, and a person sleeping at the bottom. The four points are: 1) Higher rates of probable sleep disorders. 2) More REM disturbances 3) More nightmares 4) Difficulty managing sleep and stress. Credit to the researchers is at the bottom of the image. The MSF 30th anniversary logo is at the top with next to the text, "Moebius syndrome and sleep quality."
