A non-profit organization standing with the Lebanese people in all areas. Do It For Lebanon (DIFL) is a non-profit organization registered in France (law 1901).

Our main goal is to support the Lebanese people through:
- Contributing to the development of the Lebanese society in all fields: education, culture, health, social economy, sustainable development and environment (with a special focus on family and childhood).
- Providing visibility and support to the projects of local actors in Lebanon at the international level.

The economic crisis in Lebanon is preventing the population from accessing healthcare services. The devaluation of the local currency and the spiraling inflation have led to an increase in the prices of essential goods, including medications and medical equipment.

Hospital charges have gradually increased over the period of the crisis, but they have been dollarized starting last week. At the same time, salaries are still stagnant and paid in LBP, making them significantly less valuable. According to UNICEF (2022), more than 50% of the population can't afford their required medications, and 34% of children cannot access healthcare.

In response to the presented situation, the Lebanon Emergency Medical Fund (LEMF) campaign has been launched. The outcome of this campaign will help secure a medication, ensure the cost of a lifesaving surgery, or simply enhance someone’s access to healthcare. Any amount you pay is going to count a lot for patients who are struggling in hospitals or even those who need to be there but can’t afford it.

Since 2019, Lebanon is facing very difficult and exceptional circumstances that were further exacerbated by an ongoing catastrophic economic and financial crisis. The Lebanese health system is one of the most affected sectors by the current crisis, and basic health services have become almost unaffordable for large numbers of individuals.

Under such dark circumstances, the public's need for free Emergency Medical Services (EMS) became of greater necessity. Expanding the coverage of these services and increasing their numbers are urgently needed.

We are launching an appeal to support our emergency medical services in Lebanon in 2024. The needs that will be covered by your donations include emergency medical services, equipment of first aid bags, equipment of emergency medical technicians, and first aid awareness courses.

The "Mafatif Rayan" Project was launched to provide food security for families and households during the holy month of Ramadan. It forms part of charity and Zakat programs.

The project has become even more essential this year in light of the difficult economic conditions and cost of living crisis Lebanon is facing, which have made it almost impossible for families to secure essential goods.

Key figures about the project:
- This year’s budget for the project is $500,000.
- Approximately 500 meals will be distributed daily to beneficiary homes.
- Over 4,000 orphans will be invited to Iftar meals accompanied by educational and entertaining activities and each child will also receive a gift.
- Eid clothes will be distributed to more than 1,500 children before Eid.

The average cost of one emergency mission is 30 USD and includes costs of fuel, disposables, vehicle maintenance, and human resources. We're looking to raise enough donations to guarantee 2,000 emergency missions at an estimated cost of 60,000 USD.
