The 39th chess tournament of Fourmies (Northern France) will held from the 23rd to the 25th May 2015.

It's characterised by its pleasant atmosphere, because of this it's nicknamed brilliant tournament

It's not only one of the oldest chess events of France but also one of the most unique :

- 7 rounds in 3 days with an original rate of play : 1.30 plus 30 s per move for the first 40 moves then 9 mins + 3 s per move to end the game

- Lot of prizes are given every year

- it's also (and especially!) appreciated for its friendly atmosphere
.. So Fourmies it's for me!
