Iron overload condition due to genetic variations causing excessive uptake of iron from the intestines. The following countries represented by their national haemochromatosis associations are members of EFAPH:
Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Portugal, Hungary, Denmark, Norway and Ireland.
