Cassis Artist Residency is situated in Cassis, the picturesque village next to France’s Calanques National Park. Sophie Dardar, owner of the beautiful Mediterranean villa in which participants are housed, gives the opportunity to artists of various fields to work from mid-November to mid-March on their own independent projects. OPEN CALL 2026: autumn-winter

We are thrilled to announce that applications are now officially open for our upcoming late autumn residency session in the stunning South of France, running from November 23 to December 21, 2026!

Who Can Apply & Eligibility

This residency program is designed to foster creative exchange across a wide variety of practices, welcoming creators working in visual arts, photography, film, literature, sculpture, performance, music, and interdisciplinary fields. We accept applications from both individuals and collectives of all nationalities, all ages, and all experience levels.

Location Highlights

Our creative haven is located in Cassis, boasting a warm Mediterranean climate and an incredibly inspiring natural environment. The residency house is situated in a prime coastal setting, just a 5-minute walk from the beach and only 20 minutes from the hiking trails of the Calanques National Park.

Accommodation & Facilities

To preserve an intimate and highly collaborative atmosphere, the residency accommodates a maximum of 8 artists per session. Residents can choose between a shared dormitory for €380/month or a private double room for €790/month. The property provides a fully equipped shared kitchen, comfortable indoor and outdoor workspaces, and shared living amenities.

What You Cover

Please note that this program operates on a self-funding model. Participating artists are responsible for covering their own travel expenses, daily food costs, as well as any specific art supplies and materials required for their projects.
