❗ This summer is crazy hot - and we need your support❗
(Version française en commentaire ⬇️)
At the UK-France border in Calais, more than 2,000 people on the move are surviving insufferably high temperatures with severely limited access to basic resources. Evictions every 48 hours, police intimidation, vandalised water points, and escalating far-right hostility are making an already dire situation even more dangerous.
At Calais Food Collective, we’re working in solidarity every day to make sure people are not denied their basic human rights. From delivering food ingredients directly to living sites, to providing 2 million litres of clean water last year, to organising waste collections and fighting in court for long-term solutions, our work is about dignity, autonomy, and resistance.
But right now, we’re facing severe financial precarity. With grant funding shrinking and limited reserves left, the future of our projects are far from guaranteed.
Help us carry on with our water project! Every contribution makes a tangible difference👇
£2 provides a bottle of cleaning product
£7,40 pays for a new tap
£11 replaces a stolen connector and adaptor
£95 pays for a tank of fuel
£150 buys a 1,000L water tank
If you can donate, fundraise, or share this campaign with your friends and family, you’ll be helping us continue standing alongside people on the move in Calais this summer.
Thank you for your support - we couldn’t do it without you 🧅❤️
