Some people don’t wait for change. They create it.

At our Stop Hunger Evening in Paris on May 27, we had the honour of celebrating four inspiring Volunteer Laureates whose commitment brings our mission to life every day.

Congratulations to Molly Crouch, Mona jonsson, Ezgi Tanrıverdi and peschard alain 👏

Through food redistribution, volunteer mobilization, community initiatives, fundraising and mentoring, each of them shows what it means to turn solidarity into real impact.
30 years later, the mission continues through changemakers like them.

❤️ Thank you for your dedication, generosity, and for inspiring others to take action in the fight against hunger.
Together, we move closer to a world without hunger.

Laureate series (3/3): Celebrating the changemakers behind Watering Life.

Because a single well can change an entire community.

Since 2022, Newfel El Messaoudi, President of Le Rendez-Vous Solid'R, has overseen the construction of more than 14 wells in Mali and Guinea, bringing clean water to over 14,000 people. With support from Stop Hunger, the NGO recently completed its latest project in Conakry, giving an entire village access to safe water for the first time and the result is immediate: women and girls spend less time fetching water and more time on education, agriculture and community life.

This closes our Laureate Series for Watering Life, three stories that show how access to water unlocks opportunity, well-being and resilience for communities.

🎥 Discover Newfel's testimony and how RDV Solid'R is building a more dignified, hopeful future for communities in Guinea.

Laureate Series (1/3): Celebrating innovative solutions for water and food security 💧

At our 30th Anniversary Dinner, we honoured three outstanding organizations that are transforming access to water into better health, stronger livelihoods, and greater food security for communities around the world.

Over the next three posts, discover the inspiring work of these Stop Hunger laureates and the leaders driving change where it matters most.

First up: Naandi Water

Clean water is essential to health, dignity and food security.

Divya Yachamaneni, CEO of Naandi Water, shared how the organization is helping communities gain access to safe drinking water across India.

In a country where millions of people still lack reliable access to clean water, Naandi Water has developed a community-led model that brings safe drinking water closer to those who need it most. Today, the initiative has reached more than 3 million people through women-led community water kiosks.

🎞️ Discover Divya’s testimony in the video and learn how Naandi Foundation is improving lives through women-led water solutions across India.

Special thanks to our partners whose support helped make this project possible: Unilever, Unilever Food Solutions, Danone, Danone Communities and Sodexo

Last night, we gathered - and once again, reminded ourselves why this fight matters. 💙

Another exceptional Stop Hunger evening. And this one was truly special.

30 years. 30 years of solidarity, energy and heart given freely for one shared cause: a world where no one goes hungry.

Our whole ecosystem in one room - partners, NGOs, the founding families of Sodexo and Pluxee, their clients, suppliers, donors. All united. All driven by the same conviction. That feeling never gets old. ✨

This year’s theme: Watering Life 💧

Because hunger and water insecurity are inseparable. We honoured three remarkable NGOs who showed us what real impact looks like:

🇵🇭 Better With Water – 35,000+ people in the Philippines with clean water at home, and with it, a formal identity and access to opportunity for the very first time.

🇮🇳 Naandi Foundation – 3 million people across India reached through community-run water kiosks operated by women. Clean water as a catalyst for autonomy.

🇬🇳 Rendez-vous Solid’R – One new well in Guinea-Conakry already freeing women and girls from hours of daily water collection - and opening doors to education, agriculture and a more resilient future.

Three countries. One truth: access to water changes everything.

And to our four volunteer awardees - Molly, Mona, Ezgi and Alain - from four corners of the world, you were chosen to be celebrated on our 30th anniversary. Of all the years, this one. That says everything about who you are and what you represent. Thank you for being the heartbeat of this movement. 👏

And one more thing - we broke a record. 🙌

This year, our incredible community raised 1 440 000 €, the highest amount in Stop Hunger’s global annual event history. Every euro a proof of what we can do together.

To all our donors, supporters, founders - you are Stop Hunger. Here’s to 30 years, and everything still to come. 🧡

This year, we're walking with history. 🌍

To mark Stop Hunger's 30th anniversary, teams across the world are lacing up their shoes to honor the very first Walk for Hunger - Boston, 1996 - the moment a small group of people sparked what has since grown into a truly global movement.

At our HQ in Issy, volunteers came out in force. A special, deeply meaningful moment - retracing the steps of our colleagues and founders, three decades on. To walk in their footsteps, knowing what that first walk became - a force spanning 65 countries, partnering with 400+ NGOs worldwide - is nothing short of extraordinary.

To every volunteer, partner, and country walking this year in honor of those first Stop Hunger teams: thank you. ❤️

Thirty years. One movement. Still walking forward!

🌱 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴.

In the town of 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗸, 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗮, students are discovering that classrooms don’t always have four walls.
Through a project supported by 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 and implemented by the World Food Programme (𝗪𝗙𝗣), schools in the 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗸 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 are transforming outdoor spaces into living classrooms, where children learn how to grow food, care for plants, and understand the value of healthy nutrition.

What was once land used for temporary school structures after the 𝟭𝟵𝟴𝟴 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗸𝗲 has been revitalised into an intensive school garden, now becoming a vibrant hub for both the school and the wider community.

The initiative combines education, sustainability, and food security through:
• School gardens where students plant, water, and care for crops
• Solar panels powering warmer classrooms and sustainable energy
• Drip irrigation and rainwater harvesting systems supporting resilient agriculture

Beyond the harvest, students gain knowledge, confidence, and a deeper connection to the food they eat.
Because when children learn how food grows, communities grow stronger too.

In The Gambia, Stuart Bowman joined forces with the Food Programme (𝗪𝗙𝗣) to support school feeding programmes reaching 𝟰𝟮𝟮 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀. By training local trainers, his mission helped create a ripple effect - improving the quality of school meals for thousands of children.
In his own words, Stuart shares what it means to contribute to sustainable change.

Children in 422 schools in The Gambia are getting better meals every day. 🥗🍽️

That’s the real impact of Stop Hunger volunteers working side by side with World Food Programme and local teams.

During his YEAH! mission, Stuart Bowman, a Sodexo Development Chef, trained local trainers who will support every school kitchen in the country. Better skills mean tastier, healthier meals for thousands of students.

These missions are simple at their core: share expertise, strengthen local systems, and help communities build solutions that last.

Collective action makes school meals stronger.
And stronger school meals help children learn, grow, and thrive. ✨📚
