Do you want to enhance your skills so you're ready for your next encounter with complications after vascular access surgery? 📈

This online workshop aims to give participants an overview of more complex vascular access case scenarios, including complications, by discussing real-life clinical situations with difficult diagnoses, management, or decision-making.

Review and discuss cases presented by leading vascular surgeons in the field of vascular access from all over Europe. The faculty will highlight different diagnostic paths and management options, covering both open and endovascular approaches to vascular access.

We promote an informal and judgment-free learning environment in which participants of all levels should be able to ask questions and take advantage of this amazing learning opportunity from experts in the field. After registration, you can request specific topics to be covered (up to 2 weeks before the workshop date) or submit a case presentation to the Event Lead for discussion during the workshop.

🐣 EJVES June Highlights are here!

The issue starts with 3 Editorials: the first on clinical implications of efficacy and effectiveness trials and meta-analysed data for paclitaxel in PAD, the second on indications for drug eluting technology and continued paclitaxel use in intermittent claudication, and the third on vessel preparation in PAD and the limited high-quality evidence for durable benefit.

📌 The June edition contains 3 Editor’s Choice Papers:
- Focused Update on Paclitaxel Coated Technologies from the 2024 ESVS Guidelines by Joakim Nordanstig et al.
- Dynamic Risk of Death following Application of Paclitaxel Coated Devices in the Femoropopliteal Artery by Konstantinos Katsanos et al.
- Systematic Review on the Cost Effectiveness of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening in Women by Calvin De Louche et al.

🌟 This month’s lineup also features 3 Issue Highlights. The first reports immediate haemodynamic changes after revascularisation in BEST-CLI, the second links ruptured AAAs in New Zealand with deprivation and smoking, and the third presents the FinnTrunk RCT comparing concomitant versus staged tributary treatment alongside endovenous laser ablation for symptomatic varicose veins.

📖 You’ll also find 11 additional EJVES Open Access papers, and a large variety of additional papers.

How do you deal with aortic (endo)graft infection when every option feels like a compromise?

At in Belgrade, this aortic session is built around a real case with long-term follow-up. You’ll go through the warning signs, the role of CTA, PET-CT and biomarkers, how classification systems actually help in daily practice, and the moment you decide whether the graft stays or goes, supported by live polling and expert discussion on reconstruction options such as deep vein or prosthetic grafts, omental flap and different repair strategies.

On top of that, there are aortic workshops for those who want hands-on practice:
- Endovascular repair of the aortic arch (advanced level)
- Endovascular treatment of complex aortic aneurysms – BEVAR (advanced level)
- EVAR step-by-step (basic level)
- Open AAA complex (TAAA type IV and explantation of infected endografts)
