At our recent Floor Meeting, our Speaker for the month and fellow Rotaractor Eserani Munivai shared his reflections on “Leadership Through Service” and how his passion for service began with a sense of responsibility to use his privileges to help others.

His passion for development led him to pursue a career in development, aspiring to have a position of influence in shaping development and creating meaningful change.

For him, Rotaract became an extension of that passion — a platform to identify the needs of our communities and, most importantly, take action.

Because leadership is already woven into what we do as Rotaractors. We see a need, we step forward, and we serve.

And through that journey, service has given him lifelong friendships, professional connections and personal growth — a reminder that what we take away from service can be just as meaningful as what we give.

On a side note — a big thank you to everyone who joined us for Thursday night’s Floor Meeting! 💙
It was fantastic to see such a great turnout, and we hope to see all of you — and a few new faces too — at our next meeting or event! 🤝✨

Service Through Surfing!🏄‍♂️🌊

Last Friday, Suva Rotaract Volunteers had the opportunity to be food vendors at the “Barrels, Boards & Brainpower”Community Quiz Night, hosted by the Fiji Surfing Association.

The quiz night brought the community together for an evening of fun, food and friendly competition, while supporting the Fiji Junior Surfing Team as they prepare to represent Fiji at the ISA Competition in El Salvador. 🇫🇯🌎

We were grateful for the opportunity to be part of an evening that celebrated community, youth and service, while doing what we love — serving our community one event at a time.

Last week, the visiting Rotary SHARE Project team was hosted at The Summit Fiji, meeting with Rotarians representing the Rotary Club of Suva and the Rotary Club of Suva Peninsula Sunset together our Club.

The gathering also welcomed the Australian Shadow Assistant Minister for Trade and Federal Member for O’Connor, Hon. Rick Wilson (Australia), who recently officiated at the ceremonial handover of impairment aids to the Fiji Disabled Peoples Federation - a project made possible through a collaboration between the Rotary Club of Suva Peninsula Sunset and the Rotary Club of Albany City in Western Australia.

With generous donations from the Rotary SHARE Project and the Australian Country Women’s Association, Rotarians Mosmi Bhim and Vinod Mistry of the Rotary Club of Suva Peninsula Sunset will mobilise a range of essential items for women and girls, including maternity packs, across their network of beneficiaries.

The Rotaract Club of Suva, represented by Past President Eserani Munivai, received samples of medical equipment, consumables, PPE, and lab coats to be coordinated with CWM Hospital, ensuring that only compatible and needed items are included in future bulk shipments from the SHARE Project’s warehouse in Victoria, Australia.

On behalf of the visiting team, the Club would like to acknowledge and thank Rotarian Laisa Digitaki for generously hosting our get-together.

Earlier this week, President‑Elect Monish Reddy, Treasurer Sakshi Rup and Past President Eserani Munivai of the Rotaract Club of Suva handed over dental tools and consumables to Dr Reeta Prasad of the CWMH Dental Department.
