We’re proud to celebrate a milestone achievement for one of our Past Presidents and Paul Harris Fellow, Ratu Navuaku Gavidi ! Congratulations 🥂 and Best Wishes 👏

𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐮 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐮 𝐆𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐢!👋

Navuaku, who is from Fiji, has recently stepped into the role of Chief, Economic and Fiscal Policy within the Treasury Division, Department of Finance of the Government of Nauru.

An economist by trade, Navuaku brings with him over a decade of experience in macroeconomic policy, along with a freshly completed Master’s degree from the University of Queensland. He previously worked with the Reserve Bank of Fiji, focusing on monetary policy and fiscal advice, helping turn big numbers into meaningful, everyday outcomes.

Supported by the Nauru-Australia Program on Economic Governance (NAPEG), Navuaku is excited to work alongside the Treasury team in Nauru and to see fiscal policy make a real, on the ground difference for communities.

When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him outdoors, hiking, travelling and always up for adventure.

Good luck in your new role, Navuaku, and we look forward to seeing the amazing work you’ll be doing in Nauru under this Australian-funded program.

🌧️✨Last weekend, two of our Rotaractors, Melika Davetawalu and Sakshi Rup, braved the rain to join the Narere Clean‑Up Campaign, organised by the Nasinu Town Council in partnership with the Fiji Police Force and various community groups.

Led by the Council, the initiative brought grassroots communities together to educate and raise awareness on littering, while encouraging collective responsibility for cleaner, healthier surroundings.

This marks the second campaign our Rotaractors have supported, and the Club remains committed to working alongside the Council to champion community initiatives. 🌱

Our Club was privileged to host Ms. Nunia Thomas-Moko, Director of NatureFiji-MareqetiViti, for a deeply insightful session.

She shared how her organisation led projects in advocacy, research, and community-led conservation — from documenting and protecting Fiji’s endemic species to empowering local communities to be better custodians.

Ms. Thomas-Moko also reflected on NatureFiji-MareqetiViti’s leadership in developing Fiji’s National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan, and their ongoing work to safeguard our natural heritage.

We also proudly inducted Frederick Caine and Melika Tupou Davetawalu into the Rotaract Club of Suva. They have demonstrated commitment to service and leadership, and we warmly welcome them to the Rotaract family. 🤝
