Adwina Ali met 4 breast cancer survivors on Tuesday 16 September at the Self Care Retreat in Rakiraki. Thank you to Mereani Vavatanga, CEO, who facilitated the gifting of our unique mastectomy pillows and bags. These donations were made possible by Paradise Exclusive, Pure Fiji, Bula Broads and Banking Karma Sewing Club. Cancer Survivors Fiji appreciated the continued generous support from our sponsors. We hope the ladies will enjoy the gifts and support as they travel on their cancer journey.

Did you notice the name change? Over the years our reach and help has got wider and wider outside of Suva. To reflect this we have tweaked our name but still working with the same purpose. We help cancer warriors on their journeys, we listen on our Pure Fiji help line (ph 2494454) and provide assistance with mastectomy pillows when asked. The photo is a great memory of a gathering at our start, sadly many have earned their Angel wings over the years but we remember their dedication to helping others on their journey.

Our sister organisation Cancer Survivors Fiji helpline is generously sponsored by Pure Fiji and the number is Ph 2494454 and is manned all the time by cancer survivors who speak all three languages in Fiji. We receive calls from overseas anxious family, outer islands and around Suva. If you’re nervous about anything call and chat to someone who has done their own cancer journey and can empathise and relate.
