Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

Alhamdulillah, yesterday we once again performed Jumu’ah Salah at Naqia Village with our revert brothers. This is a weekly Jumu’ah gathering for our brothers in the village.

We would like to sincerely thank to Zakat Foundation Fiji for their generous support in providing Zakat assistance to our revert brothers in the village.

PART 2: Zakat Foundation Fiji KEPT OUR PROMISE - BUT THIS FAMILY STILL NEEDS YOU!

Last night, we met a family who had suddenly lost almost everything.

This morning, Zakat Foundation Fiji returned - just as we promised.

Our team delivered immediate assistance to Mrs Mereisi Naitinimana, her husband and their six children of Navoci Village, Nadi, following the devastating house fire that turned their lives upside down.

Through the generosity entrusted to us, the family received:

🛒 Essential groceries
🛏️ Blankets
☕ Cups and basic household necessities
💵 Immediate monetary assistance

These items will help them through the coming days.

But they will not rebuild a life that was destroyed overnight.

This family still has a long road ahead. They need to replace clothing, household essentials and school belongings, and ultimately find a way to get back on their feet and rebuild their lives.

A FAMILY OF 8 LOST EVERYTHING - TODAY, THEY NEED OUR HELP

During the dark hours of tonight, Zakat Foundation Fiji (ZFF) visited Mrs Mereisi Naitinimana and her family of Navoci Village, Nadi, to assess the heartbreaking situation following a devastating house fire on Monday morning.

In a matter of moments, Mereisi, her husband and their six children lost everything they called home.

💔 Their belongings.
💔 Their clothing.
💔 Their household necessities.
💔 Even the youngest child’s school belongings were completely destroyed.

When the fire broke out, the youngest child was at home with his mother, sleeping. Thankfully, lives were spared - but almost everything the family had built and owned was taken by the flames.

Tonight, this family of eight has no home to return to and is temporarily staying with neighbours while struggling to make ends meet.

Tomorrow morning, Zakat Foundation Fiji will begin its first phase of assistance, with our team delivering essential groceries and monetary assistance to accommodate the urgent needs to help the family through these difficult first days.

But groceries are only the beginning.

We are calling upon our community, donors, businesses and well-wishers to come forward and help this family rebuild their lives.

No contribution is too small. A little from each of us can mean everything to a family that has suddenly been left with nothing.

Our sisters play an indispensable role in every outreach we undertake. Their compassion, resilience, and selfless service remind us that true strength is found in serving others for the sake of Allah.
