Starting 2026 with Wellness: A Community Walk for Health, Connection, and Purpose
21/1/2026— Kunjal Nair’s Wellness Foundation, in partnership with the Ba Town Council, proudly kicked off 2026 with a powerful message of health and togetherness through a community wellness walk held today in Ba.
The walk commenced from the Ba Town Council Office, proceeded to Govind Park, and returned to the starting point, covering an approximate distance of 8–9 kilometres. The event saw an enthusiastic turnout of nearly 70 participants, representing a diverse cross-section of the community.
Participants included representatives from the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Employment, Fire Authority, Fiji Police Force, market vendors, and members of the general public, reflecting a strong spirit of inter-agency collaboration and community unity.
The walk lasted close to two hours and concluded with light refreshments generously sponsored by Kunjal Nair’s Wellness Foundation, providing an opportunity for participants to relax, connect, and reflect after the physical activity.
The primary objective of the initiative was to promote holistic wellness, not only physical health, but also social and emotional wellbeing. Group walks followed by social interaction play a vital role in reducing stress, strengthening community bonds, and encouraging sustainable healthy lifestyles.
“These walks are just the beginning of something special,” “Wellness is not a one-day event—it’s a journey. By bringing people together to move, connect, and share, we are building healthier communities from the ground up.”
Kunjal Nair’s Wellness Foundation looks forward to strengthening partnerships with Ba Town Council, various government ministries, and community stakeholders, with many more wellness-focused initiatives planned throughout 2026.
This event marks a meaningful first step toward a year dedicated to empowering wellness, fostering collaboration, and inspiring positive lifestyle change across Fiji.
