Thank you Rotary Club of Portland. Part distribution of bras to our women who come early mornings to be at our Lautoka market for Saturdays market day. It’s usually a very very long day for many of them.

Partnering with the Lautoka City Council in helping to clean up our botanical garden in Lautoka. The coolest time of the year can also be the most dryest time of the year for plants. But many hands make light work! Thank you to the Rotarians that braved the early morning to be here and most especially to the Westpac staff of Lautoka for helping the job so much easier with the many hands that turned up. Vinaka to the lautoka city council for organising the tools that were handy on the day. Vinaka vakalevu. We hope this is the beginning of more projects in collaboration with other groups and business houses.

This year for World Epic Day, Rotary Lautoka collaborated with our local city council to start some beautification of our local botanical gardens.
We organized some plants and helped to arrange them for our local city council to create spaces. With a new cafe in the grounds we undertook the challenge to add some colour in the gardens and help our local council maintain it for the next few months. A morning spent well with young council staff who are keen and are educated in their field of work. Thank you to our Rotarians that helped and thank you to Carmen and her Nursery counterpart in working with us.

Come Join Rotary a club of Lautoka tomorrow, Saturday 16th May at 8am at the gardens helping our local city council clean up at the Botanical gardens and assisting in planting some new plants. Meet you all at the gardens at 7.45am Saturday morning. Bring the young ones along and grab a coffee at the cafe.

And we’re running a raffle to top up our Mother/Baby packs for the new quarter. Rotary Club of Lautoka has had this project for some time with a lull after COVID but we have started it up again in a big way.
Help us give some little bit of love and care to new mums that need our help and their new bubbas!

Dropping off the first batch of mother baby items donated by friends of rotary off to the post natal clinic at Lautoka hospital. Thank you to those that contributed. These new moms sure appreciate you!
