We’re building our community, one connection at a time ❤️

We are continuously developing the way we communicate and create opportunities for participation, peer support and connection.
Now, you can also find What The Finland on WhatsApp, with dedicated community groups for different activities and interests, for instance:

🌸 Meidän hetki - for mothers & girls
A space to meet, connect, share experiences and spend time together in a supportive community.

🌱 WENI – We Network International
Another important part of our work is WENI, bringing people together through professional and peer-support networks.

Through WENI, we are running, for example, our WorkWell project and peer support group for teachers & educators. These actions create spaces to share experiences, support one another and build connections across professional and cultural backgrounds.

Join our What The Finland WhatsApp Community and find the group that is right for you! Everyone is welcome ❤️

The most important Save the Date of the year! ❤️

We are building a meaningful space for women. Women’s Evening: Safety, Support & Community brings together women to connect, share experiences, increase awareness and find support in a safe and welcoming atmosphere.

The goals of this event are to increase awareness and cultural understanding around different forms of violence, reduce shame and stigma related to seeking help, and strengthen women’s opportunities to access support and seek help in situations of violence.

Through open conversations, shared experiences and information about available support services, we are building a safe and inclusive community where every woman feels heard, respected and empowered to seek support when needed.

More information coming soon ❤️

🌐 Today we launched our workshop series on Nordic-Baltic Youth Digital Resilience!

As part of the Nordic-Baltic Youth Digital Resilience Initiative, we brought together experts from Lithuania, Estonia and Finland - educators, IT specialists, youth workers and NGO representatives - to share their knowledge and experiences.

The aim of this first workshop was to hear directly from professionals working with young people and gather their insights, experiences and ideas about the digital challenges young people face today.

We explored important topics including:
🔹 Digital identity and responsible participation
🔹 Online safety and digital wellbeing
🔹 AI use, opportunities and risks
🔹 Recognising misinformation and online manipulation
🔹 The digital skills young people need for the future

💡 The insights from these discussions will help us better understand the needs of young people and youth workers and shape the next steps of the initiative.

A big thank you to everyone who joined and shared their valuable perspectives! 🙌

✨ 💜 Our first K-pop dance class is done, and we are so happy to see an amazing group of participants taking the first steps in building a K-pop community in Vaasa! 🎶💃

The classes are only the beginning - random play dances, workshops, day camps and more activities are coming. A place for young people to practice together, make friends, grow and create their own dance teams. 🌟

Creating a community where everyone is welcome, included and can create amazing things together, is also at the heart of our Creativity, arts and culture as efficient approach for inclusion project. 💜

And this is just the beginning! 🚀

✨What an inspiring and warm evening with our current and future Integration & Experience Experts we had today 💙

Today we came together to reconnect, welcome new members, and simply spend a nice evening together🤗. We also introduced the upcoming Integration & Experience Experts (IE-Expert) Course in Autumn.🍁

The biggest challenge for many migrants in Finland is still language learning and employment, but we believe that supporting each other we can succeed 💪

Thank you to everyone who joined us today! ❤️

Yesterday we had an amazing Kung Fu evening for mothers and daughters! ✨

Together with our wonderful trainer, Joon Woo, we were introduced to the beautiful world of Tai Chi, Qigong, and Kung Fu.🥋

We explored the basic movements, learned about the philosophy behind these traditional martial arts, and enjoyed trying them for the very first time in a warm and supportive atmosphere.💖

Thank you to everyone who joined us on summer evening, and made it so special. We hope to see you again at our future activities! 💚
