Ukraine is continuing to deal with the aftermath of Russia’s overnight attack on May 24. At least four people were killed and around 100 injured, including 87 in Kyiv alone.
In total, nearly 300 sites across Kyiv were damaged. The majority were residential buildings, with almost 150 private houses and apartment buildings sustaining various degrees of damage.
Emergency services, medics, and recovery teams are working around the clock every day to eliminate the consequences of the attack and restore affected areas. We are grateful to everyone helping Ukraine recover from the horrors of Russian strikes.
As usual, Russia deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure and civilians. Unable to achieve success on the battlefield, it is trying to break the resistance and spirit of the Ukrainian people. The world must not turn a blind eye to the war crimes of the terrorist state. Support for Ukraine must remain fully consolidated – air defense is critically important for protecting the lives of our people. Pressure on the aggressor must only increase.
