The Schuman Society in Finland, founded in 2001, focuses on raising awareness of topical issues about Finland and European integration integration and the history. The Society, whish has a close relationship with the Universtiy of Turku, organises seminars, public debates and other events related to these issues, often in cooperation with other organisations such as the Europe Information network
of the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Europe Direct information points community colleges, political parties and student organisations. The society has also produced Finnish‐language publications such as "Kun Suomi kääntyi", "Rooman sopimus 50 vuotta", "Lissabonin sopimus tunnissa" and during 2015 ans 2016 several editions of its illustrated booklet on Citizens´EU Guide called "EU ja käyrät kurkut - Tosiasioita urbaanilegendojen sijaan".
