Tällä ja viime viikolla on käyty kohtaamassa lähettejä Tampereen kaduilla PAMin järjestötoimitsijan sekä PAM Couriers Finland ammattiosaston toimesta, mukana kiertämässä on ollut myös seurakunnan yhteiskunnallisen työn diakoni. Tiedon ja tuen tarpeet ovat moninaiset ja yhdessä olemme voineet tarjota kattavasti apua ja tietoa. Kohtaamisissa nousi monesti esiin sama viesti: epävarmuus, heikot työehdot ja tarve oikeudenmukaisille pelisäännöille.
Vaikka korkein hallinto-oikeus on päätöksessään todennut, että Wolt-lähetit ovat työsuhteisia, ei tätä päätöstä ole vielä arjessa noudatettu.
Kun riittävän moni lähetti järjestäytyy ammattiliittoon, on työnantajan aidosti neuvoteltava työehdoista. Tavoitteena on muun muassa että:
✅ palkassa huomioidaan aika, jolloin työntekijä on työnantajan käytettävissä
✅ työnantajan velvollisuudet ovat samat kuin muillakin suomalaisilla työnantajilla
✅ myös lähetit saavat reilut ehdot liittyen sairauspoissaoloihin, työvälineisiin ja kulujen korvauksiin liittyen
In the past two weeks, couriers have been met on the streets of Tampere by PAM’s union organiser and representatives from the PAM Couriers Finland branch, with a deacon from the church’s social work team also joining the rounds. The needs for information and support are varied, and together we’ve been able to provide comprehensive help and advice. A recurring message in these encounters has been uncertainty, poor working conditions, and the need for fair rules.
Although the Supreme Administrative Court has ruled that Wolt couriers are employees, this decision has not yet been implemented in daily practice.
When enough couriers organise into a trade union, the employer is genuinely required to negotiate working conditions. The aim is, among other things, that:
✅Pay takes into account the time during which the worker is available to the employer.
✅The employer’s obligations are the same as those of all other Finnish employers.
✅Couriers also receive fair terms regarding sick leave, work equipment, and reimbursement of expenses.
