Ever wondered what makes pesäpallo aka Finnish baseball so special?  Now’s your chance to find out! Join ESN Lapland and Kosmos Buran for a fun afternoon of sports, new friends, and a little taste of Finnish culture! ❤️🇫🇮

You don’t need to be a professional athlete. Just bring your sports spirit, comfortable clothes, and a willingness to have some fun! Give it a try, learn the basics, and meet some new people along the way! 🏃‍♀️

Need a few things to make your new apartment feel like home? We’ve got you! 🫶✨

From Monday, 10th of August, you can find everything from:
🍴 Cutlery, dishes, pans & kitchen utensils
🛏️ Bedding, pillows & blankets
🧼 Towels & bathroom essentials
💡 Lamps, organizers & room decor
🎨 Art supplies & creative goodies
🏒 Sports equipment & other useful items
🪑 And LOTS of other things — including smaller shelves, nightstands, trash cans, mirrors and more! 👀

A huge welcome to all our new students in Rovaniemi! 💙🇫🇮 We hope you’re settling in well and can’t wait to meet you all! Get ready for an unforgettable semester filled with new friendships, exciting adventures, and plenty of ESN events. 🌍🫶

🗓️ Here’s what’s happening this month:

♻️ Recycling Room
Starting next week, our Recycling Room is open again! It’s the perfect place to find everything you need for your new home—from kitchenware, dishes, and bedding to decorations and plenty of unexpected treasures. 🏡💚

The Recycling room will be open on:
August 10th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 17th, 18th, 20th, 21st, 24th, 26th and 28th, from 17.00 — 18.30.

🌍✨ Ready to make a difference in Rovaniemi? ✨🌍

ESN Lapland is looking for a Project Coordinator to join our Board and help create unforgettable experiences for both exchange students and locals through the 💙 Friend Programme and other exciting projects!

As a Project Coordinator, you’ll have the chance to bring people together, build intercultural connections, and create events that students will remember long after their exchange ends. 🌎🤝

What will you do? 👀

✨ Coordinate the Friend Programme together with the International Offices of the universities in Rovaniemi
🤝 Match local students with incoming exchange students to encourage cultural exchange and meaningful friendships
🎉 Organize fun events and projects such as International Dinners, hiking trips, ice fishing, bowling nights, and more
📋 Recruit participants, stay in touch with them, and make sure the programme runs smoothly
💡 Develop the project creatively and bring in your own ideas. You are free to shape the programme in your own way!

What will you do? 👀

📝 Write meeting minutes and document everything discussed during board meetings
📋 Keep important meeting information organized and accessible
🤝 Attend board meetings and stay updated on ESN Lapland activities
💬 Support smooth communication within the board
