Duo Maja Mannila & Johannes Granroth konsertoi Jazzliiton pilottikiertueella julkisten iltakonserttien ohella kouluissa ja palvelutaloissa. Luvassa on intiimi konserttikokemus, jossa korostuu leikkisä improvisaatio ja sielukas ilmaisu. Kiertueen mahdollistavat Svenska kulturfonden, William Thurings stiftelse ja Musiikin edistämissäätiö MES.

"On kivaa esiintyä duoa eri ikäryhmille ja saada puhua omaa äidinkieltään konserteissa. Ohjelmistossamme on mm. perinteisiä ruotsalaisia ja suomalaisia kansanlauluja, soul- ja jazzklassikoita sekä omia sävellyksiämme – jopa jokunen joululaulukin!", iloitsee Maja Mannila.

New Bloom is a Finnish band playing instrumental music written and produced by drummer Victor Nyblom. Their sound “Space Fusion” emerges through big synth soundscapes and slick guitar melodies tied together with catchy bass lines and energetic drumbeats. The band has released two EP’s, Airwaves (2021) and
Doom Disco (2025).

RIGMOR GUSTAFSSON (SWE) 9.10 at Jeppis Jazz Festival! 💥

One of Sweden’s foremost jazz singers is coming to Jeppis Jazz Festival, performing music from her new album “Rigmor På Svenska.”

Rigmor Gustafsson made the long journey from the forests of Värmland to the asphalt streets of New York, before settling down in the Venice of the North—Stockholm—from where she has conquered Europe. She has toured across much of the world, collaborating with renowned ensembles such as The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Swedish Radio Jazz Orchestra, and has become one of Sweden’s most acclaimed and well-known jazz artists.

At home, she has received numerous accolades, including three gold records, a Swedish Grammy (Grammis), the Royal Swedish Academy of Music’s Jazz Award, P2’s “Guldkatten,” and—perhaps most personally meaningful—the title of Värmlander of the Year.

In April 2025, Rigmor released her first album since 2017. For the first time, the album is entirely in Swedish and features unexpected covers of artists like Cornelis Vreeswijk and Mando Diao, along with original songs and jazz standards with newly written Swedish lyrics.

This autumn guitarist Tom Ollendorff embarks on a world tour with an all star trio to promote the release of his highly anticipated new album ‘Where in the World’.

Tom has undoubtedly become one of the most exciting young guitarists on the international jazz scene and his playing combines a lyrical sensibility and rhythmic ease with an elegant use of space and silence, all with a seductive sound that add to his appeal.

Tom will be performing with two of the most in demand musicians in in the world today, drummer Francesco Ciniglio and bassist Conor Chaplin

JAKOB BIG BAND plays the music of Anders Sjölind 12.10 at Brankis! 🎺

Jakob Big Band, based in Jakobstad, Finland, is a vibrant ensemble at the heart of the region’s jazz scene. With its mix of seasoned musicians and new talent, the band is celebrated for its energy, precision, and ability to bring both tradition and innovation into the big band format.

For this concert, the focus is on the music of Anders Sjölind – composer, arranger, and conductor of Jakob Big Band. Living in Jakobstad, Sjölind has developed a unique musical voice that blends lyrical expression with rhythmic drive and colorful harmonies. His close work with the ensemble allows the music to be shaped directly for its musicians, creating performances that are both personal and powerful.

This program highlights the creative synergy between composer and band, offering the audience a dynamic journey into the modern big band sound – with Jakobstad’s own musicians and conductor at the center.
