Our charity run was a success! 🌱

Wow, what a day! Last Saturday, almost 70 incredible people came together for our charity run event organised by Aurora Borealis in partnership with the United Nations Association of Jyväskylä and the Sustainable Development Group of JYY. We're happy to say that it was a huge success, thanks to all of YOU!

We can't thank you enough for your amazing support and contributions. Your generosity is really making a difference in the world, as all proceeds from the event will go towards the Youth Sponsorship Project in Nepal. This fantastic initiative is helping to give Nepalese schoolgirls access to higher education and your donations have helped us to raise a total of €414.70!

We're looking forward to our next event and can't wait to see you all again soon.

What: This year JyYK, IDESCO and ESN join their forces to support Aurora Borealis’ annual event, the Charity Run.

Why: The aim of the event is to raise money for Aurora Borealis, which supports the Youth Sponsorship Program of Looniva in Nepal, through which bright young Nepalese students receive scholarships in order to continue their studies in higher education.

How much: The registration fee for the charity run is 5 euros, but you can donate as much as you wish to support disadvantaged students through our partner association. Upon registration and the completion of the run, you can win a patch and enjoy some snacks and refreshments!

Who: Literally anyone! You can come alone, with your friends, your lovely pets, your bikes, scooters, rollers and enjoy the route under the sun!

How: Do you have to run? No, you can also walk, bike or come to say hi!

When: Saturday, May 28th 2022, 10:00-16:00

Where: The run will begin at Ylistö Bridge near Agora/Alba hotel
