ENO schools around the world have joined Motiva’s Energy Awareness Week for the fifth year in a row!
ENO Schoolnet - a global network of schools for sustainable development, based in North Karelia, Finland, has launched Motiva’s Energy Saving Week for its international network for the fifth consecutive year. The theme week, called Energy Awareness Week, is implemented locally in schools and shared globally through social media platforms. Each year’s campaign, with its changing theme, has sparked an interest among international schools, and a good number of schools have joined in annually. The projects and activities created during the campaign have been shared with others on ENO’s social media platforms, such as the ENO Teachers page and a specially created campaign Padlet.
This year, 10 schools registered for the event and carried out a learning project under the theme “Control Your Energy”, focusing on the wise use of energy in schools. The campaign aimed to encourage schools to use energy wisely and manage their consumption by learning how their school uses energy, understanding what consumes the most, and exploring how community habits affect overall energy use.
The Energy Saving Week and ENO’s Energy Awareness Week were celebrated this year from 6–12 October 2025.
