I am pleased to announce that my fifth novel, Dead Man's Deck, is now available for puchase on Amazon in both ebook and print formats.

The synapsis:
Once a prosperous hub for asteroid mining, Station S6 and its inhabitants now spin largely forgotten in the darkness of space. Two, maybe three ships a month stop for fuel and a bite to eat at Song’s place on their way somewhere else. Sheriff Griff Owens keeps the peace with one young deputy and an antiquated combat droid named Lobo.

But when a gunslinger arrives, followed by two more and a crew of corporate heavy-hitters, the threat – or the promise – of violence hangs over the once-sleepy station. There’s talk of a deck of cards that holds the clue to a fabulous treasure. There’s rumors of conspiracy and fear of a showdown that will leave no-one untouched.

Now the residents of S6 must figure out how to win an unwinnable fight, how to survive another day, and just maybe, how to make enough money to buy a ticket to anywhere else.

No feedback session this week. Next week, we are planning on having a normal session again.

At the last gathering there were enough magi of the word to form an octagram. Five practitioners of the written arts took positions at GAP, while the digital projections of three more completed the formation. If you wonder what mythical monsters can be summoned via an octagram, turns out it’s a very friendly minstrel and an idiosyncratic trio of space investigators.

First through the magical portal stepped Trisha, and this is by far not her first walk through portals. Via the beautiful narration of the author, we got to see Trisha travelling again between worlds and ending up at an overbooked and overtense inn, where she’ll have to earn her stay with music.

Then the mystery of the murder on the Libra station further tied with a new exciting twist in the investigation. In addition to the intricacies of the case, the new chapter brought more depth to some of the main characters, as well as some minor puzzles composed of full and empty photo frames.

This concluded our summoning session as the portal closed soon after, but if the stars align favourably, we should have an opening again next Friday. So, if you want to see more fantasy creatures come to life, come and don’t forget your mage robe! 🧙‍♀️🧙‍♂️

Last night’s concert featured a line-up of five – three performers at the venue, and two more joining via the means of streaming.

The gig started with another ballad about the adventures of a hero with the surname of Rigby. The Beatles didn't write a song about this Rigby (which is entirely their loss), but this didn't hinder Lester in his exploration of his new self and of the physics of liquid bodies.

The programme was closed with a magical instrumental piece of the bard character Trisha, which was lyrical enough to enchant a faerie. The melody carried varied moods and notes – absence, homecoming, and empty space within.

The encore consisted of a few little beat pieces in conversational form. One of the chats focused on the important question of “is it necessary to be dead to become a saint?” Very topical, I know. In any case, if somebody could answer the question, preferably pre mortem, please do join our next gig. 😊

Last night five people gathered for an evening of armchair adventures and investigations, and the occasional wacky robot. The table at GAP was surrounded in person on three sides by four of us, while the image of the last author closed the circle from the last side via the medium of Zoom and a TV set.

An early chapter delivered the opening round of adventure and allowed us to meet a spirited and quite confident in her survival skills bard. At the chapter’s end, a portal offered us the chance to think of new worlds and of the character’s possible magic potential.

Then our attention was tied in a knot with a further complication in the space murder mystery of Libra. A well-placed mention of the books title in dialogue delivered an extra punch there.

Our endeavours for the evening were concluded with a second power-up for Lester, this time even stronger than before and also quite… wetter. A particularly maniacal robot in the middle of the chapter provided extra fun and holes in the walls.

Last night six authors pondered about the changes in character. Half of us explored the issue up close, in person, while the other half took an eagle-eyed view from the heights of the Net.

The examination began with a chapter of Lester's adventures heavy on important decisions, point allocation, and slipping into the darkness. Then a bear scene was brought on the table that suggested an attempt to shift in other way - from a darker marital past to something lighter, perhaps.

Did any of us really change character in the end? Doubtful... But armed with good feedback, the stories shared will definitely alter a thing or two for the better. That's enough change for a night, wouldn't you say?

Last Friday’s session gathered seven of us. Four writers connected from a distance, while another three were present at location. Three short pieces of the monologue or poem variety were shared. The works were focused on different kinds of loss and farewells.

After discussing the pieces, a short conversation on weekend and life plans followed, and then it was time for farewells again, this time not in written form.

At the last feedback session there were six writers. Three of us came in person, while the digital ether brought the rest.

Two pieces were read. First, there was a chapter from a tale of adventure, alchemy, and underground trees. Then followed another twist in Lester’s troubles, caught between the clone and the nasty brain.

The feedback was followed by festive conversations of the various version and traditions of Christmas. At the end, as he often does, Julius Caesar brought and end to the meeting. And… how often have you thought about the Roman Empire? 😉
