The Network for Religious and Traditional Peacemakers is an organization embodying the role of a liaison between grassroots peacemakers and international players as a way to solidify the path toward sustainable peace. The Network supports a certain vision of peacebuilding efforts, one that includes traditional and religious communities as grassroots peacemakers. This vision contributes to strength

ening an inclusive peace dialogue and promoting a collaborative effort on research and policy-oriented recommendations at the local and international levels.

On May 22, the Peacemakers Netw, FCA Finn Church Aid, & Abilis convened policymakers, peacebuilders, organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs), civil society actors, and development practitioners in Helsinki 🇫🇮 for the event, Centering Disability-Inclusion in the Architecture of Peace. Last year, FCA Thailand Foundation hosted the Youth Social Cohesion and Collective Action Fellowship in Mae Sot, Thailand. Through dialogue, conflict resolution, and collective action training, participants gained the skills, mentorship, and connections to become leaders and bridge-builders in their communities. This year in March, FCA Thailand announced the renewal of our partnership agreement with Sathirakoses-Nagapradipa Foundation (SNF) under ‘Building Resilient Livelihoods for Migrant Youth in Myanmar, Thailand and Nepal through Integrated Approaches’ (Youth on the Move) project.

With support from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, the Peacemakers Network’s Asia Working Group launched the 2025 Small Grants to back grassroots initiatives that bring underrepresented voices into peace processes. The program funded four member-led projects that translate lived experience into practical action, policy influence, and durable local structures. With goals to strengthen mediators and peacebuilders, design inclusive platforms, and uphold public accountability, the small grant projects truly initiated from words to action.

: FCA and Partners Side Event on Faiths in Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships: Women’s and Girls’ Access to Justice in Armed Conflict

In March, the Peacemakers Network and Partners held an event on, "Faiths in Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships: Women's and Girls' Access to Justice in Armed Conflict," where over 80 participants joined in-person and more than 40 participants joined online which showcased multi-stakeholder perspectives on justice for women and girls in conflict settings. Responding to growing interest among development, democracy, peacebuilding and youth empowerment practitioners in understanding how the agenda can strengthen youth‑inclusive electoral and political processes amid rapid shifts in civic engagement, , members of the Global Coalition on YPS, and has developed a paper that highlights practical examples, lessons learned, and emerging approaches to advance more peaceful, inclusive, and meaningful youth participation in electoral and political processes worldwide.

For this year’s , the Gender Working Group of the Multi-Faith Advisory Council to the UN Inter-Agency Taskforce on Religion and Sustainable Development convened faith-based actors, UN entities and broader civil society online and in New York to discuss key findings from the draft research compendium of multi-faith sacred texts and theological analysis and best practice-based examples of institutions that highlight a range of faith informed approaches to counter hateful narratives against gender equality. New toolkit! Network Member, Re-Imagining New Communities has developed a practical framework for children, 'The Child Peacebuilder Framework' which draws from the reflections, experiences, and creative expressions of children who participate in the Peace Labs.

Last week in , the Gender Working Group of the Multi-Faith Advisory Council and members of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Religion and Sustainable Development hosted an in-person platform for faith-based actors and secular feminists to discuss key findings from the developed research compendium, and co-create practical steps for advocacy.

Members were able to make tangible recommendations to advance the faith advocacy brief through theological analysis and scripture examples.
