The project “Rural Entrepreneurship in the Baltic Sea Region”, based at the University of Greifswald’s Interdisciplinary Centre for Baltic Sea Region Research, explores how social entrepreneurship ecosystems function across six countries. Our research includes the analysis of national strategies and policy documents, interviews with key ecosystem organisations and case studies of three rural social enterprises. We will share insights on how ecosystems reach rural areas, how social entrepreneurship is understood across contexts, and what motivates entrepreneurs to engage in these networks.
The workshop primarily addresses partners developing social entrepreneurship ecosystems in their countries or regions. We also want to invite academic partners researching social entrepreneurship in the Baltic Sea region.
