It’s time to introduce our judges for our awesome dog show in 2026! Let’s start with amazing DIANA STRIEGEL from the Netherlands! ✨

Since 2001, I’ve had the privilege of being an FCI judge. I began with the Nederlandse
Kooikerhondje. Although I have never owned one myself, I truly lost my heart to this wonderful
breed.
A year later, I passed the exam for the Stabijhoun. This is my own personal breed, which has
been part of my life since 1992. Later, the Drentsche Patrijshond joined our family. The fact that I
mostly judge Dutch breeds is pure coincidence,or perhaps a subtle sign of Dutch pride.
My kynological journey began in 1994 as secretary of a local dog association, where I also taught
obedience, show training, kynological knowledge, and more. I was one of the founders and
secretary of the cooperation of Dutch breed clubs, now part of the Dutch Kennel Club.
Since 2014, I serve as secretary of the Royal Dutch Kennel Club Cynophilia and have remained
active in many areas of kynology, particularly for Dutch breeds.
I’ve had the honor of judging the Nederlandse Kooikerhondje in several countries. In addition to
judging, I’ve given presentations to judges and breed enthusiasts around the world, and I wrote
an illustrated explanation of the breed standard, which has been translated into several
languages.
When the breed was recognized by the AKC in 2015, I was invited to join the Judges
Education Committee in the United States, where I contributed to training programs and
educational materials for AKC judges.
It was with great pride that I accepted the invitation to judge this beautiful breed in
Finland and I'm grateful that people all over the world can enjoy this special Dutch breed.
The Kooikerhondje connects us; wherever we are.
