For this reason, the Gyalwang Karmapa has said that reading and reciting them will benefit anyone who has faith in or practices White Tara. This work presents a detailed and illustrated commentary by Venerable Tenga Rinpoche on the complete long-life practice of Noble White Tara, based on Jamgön Kongtrul Lodrö Tayé’s A Chest of Amṛita from The Treasury of Kagyu Mantras. It carefully explains the specific Tara ngöndro and then guides the practitioner step by step through the development phase, including the visualization of White Tara’s palace, form, and mantra, together with an explanation of their meanings.

The completion phase is presented both with and without form, connecting the White Tara practice directly to the four yogas of Mahamudra. Throughout, Tenga Rinpoche shows how the White Tara long-life practice directly supports the recognition of the inseparable emptiness and clarity of mind. This book is intended for practitioners who already engage in Vajrayana practice and who wish to deepen their understanding of White Tara as taught in the Karma Kagyu tradition.

The present text, Mahāmudrā, Pointing out the Dharmakāya, by the ninth holder of the black vajra crown, Karmapa Wangchuk Dorje [1556-1603], is among the profoundest teachings which the practice lineage of the Karma Kamtsang has to offer. It is designed as a practice manual for practitioners to take on a secluded retreat to apply these instructions and gain hands-on experience through personal practice. This is a text that needs to be practised, not just studied or read casually.
