Yesterday, Humanitarian Law theme evening at the district office focused on War, Crisis and Mental Health. 💥🕳🗯

Our guest speaker was Ferdinand Garoff, psychologist, psychotherapist and forensic psychologist, whose extensive experience includes work with torture survivors and Red Cross missions in Jordan, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Nepal and Chechnya.

More than 40 participants joined us in person and online, with greetings reaching us all the way from Amman. 🫶✨️

The Humanitarian Law Group of the North and Central Helsinki Branch SPR Pohjois- ja Keski-Helsingin osasto organizes these bilingual (Finnish-English) theme evenings together with the Helsinki and Uusimaa District SPR Helsinki ja Uusimaa.

✨️ Everyone interested is warmly welcome to join, both the theme evenings and the group!

Welcome to the advanced course in psychosocial support ❤

The course focuses on the individual and the community. Loss affects both the individual and the entire community, and grief is a natural response to loss. The course provides skills to understand the grieving process and to support bereaved individuals in volunteer work.

The advanced course in psychosocial support is intended for all volunteers who have completed the basic psychosocial support course.

🔴Time: November 14th 2026 8:30 AM – 4.30 PM
🔴Place: Kannelmäki, Pohjois- ja Keski-Helsinki local branch

🌈 The most colourful football tournament of the year, Respect Pride, will be played at Töölö football field on Thursday, June 25, from 16:00 to 21:00.

The Finnish Red Cross football team FC Keskari will take part in the mixed division of the tournament.

Come cheer on FC Keskari and your other favourites! ⚽🎉

The tournament is organized by H.O.T. ry in cooperation with the Finnish Workers’ Sports Federation, the Responsible Sports Association project, the Football Association of Finland, and multicultural organizations Liikkukaa – Sports For All ry and RASMUS ry.
