Toimintamme tarkoituksena on nepalilaisen kulttuurin ja yhteiskunnan tunnetuksi tekeminen sekä pienimuotoinen avustustoiminta ja kehitysyhteistyö. Seuran suomalaiset ja nepalilaiset jäsenet juhlivat Dasain- ja Tihar-juhlia syys-marraskuussa. Osallistumme vuosittain Matkamessuille ja Maailma kylässä -festivaaleille. We make Nepalese culture and society known in Finland and do small scale charity and development cooperation work in Nepal. Finland-Nepal Friendship Association was established in 1980. Members of the association organize Dasain and Tihar parties on September-November. The association has both Finnish and Nepalese members. We are present at Nordic Travel Fair and World Village Festival.

I would like to warmly welcome the new board members to FNFA!

We had a successful AGM on 12 May 2026, where 12 enthusiastic members were elected to the board for 2026.

Our current board members are: Aino Kormilainen, Barun Khanal, Bijay Gurung, Binit Shrestha, Byoma Tamrakar, Devendra Adhikari, Dolf Assmann, Elias Eronen, Esa Ahonen, Katja Hagfors, Matti Aho and Piksi McArthur.

I am happy to see such an energetic team coming together to support and strengthen our association and community.

As Chairperson, I look forward to working with all of you. I believe that with our new ideas, dedication and teamwork, we can make a meaningful impact and take FNFA further ahead.

Thank you for your willingness to be part of the board. I look forward to a great journey together.

Nepal on poikkeuksellisen hieno ja monimuotoinen matkakohde!
Vuonna 2025 maassa vieraili yli miljoona turistia.
Suomi-Nepal-seura osallistuu jälleen 16-18.1.2026 matkamessuille osastolla 6A90-16.
Viime vuosien tapaan Nepal Tourism Boardilla on oma suuri Nepal-osastonsa 7M130. Tervetuloa tutustumaan! Teemme yhteistyötä heidän kanssaan.

Matkamessut 🔔 🇳🇵 Four dances, five performers, one spirit — a colourful journey through Nepal’s rich ethnic culture and music 💃

Nepal is an exceptional destination for adventure tourism, enriched by diverse offerings in religious and spiritual travel, nature and wildlife, and cultural heritage tourism.�In 2025, Nepal welcomed well over one million visitors, marking a full return to pre-COVID tourism levels. To celebrate this milestone, four traditional cultural dance performances, presented by five Nepali dancers, will take place at the WeLoveCruises Stage on Saturday, the 17th at 16:30.�Continuing the tradition of previous years, the Nepal Tourism Board will be represented alongside 10 travel agencies at Booth 7M130, while Suomi Nepal Seura will be present at Booth 6A90-16 during this year’s MatkaMessut.
