Allianssi Youth Exchanges

Allianssi Youth Exchanges In Finnish: www.facebook.com/Nuorisovaihto Allianssi Youth Exchanges is a Finnish NGO working for intercultural learning and global understanding.

We work in many national and international networks. We are the Finnish member of the Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations and work in close co-operation with members and partners of the network especially in the field of global short and medium term voluntary exchanges. In long term volunteer exchanges we have a wider range or partners, especially in EU-funded programs such as Eur

opean Solidarity Corps. We have both incoming and outgoing voluntary programs. In addition to about 30 short term voluntary work camps and ESC volunteer teams in Finland we co-ordinate long term European Solidarity Corps volunteers to our partner organisations in Finland. We also have own outgoing EU funded projects for vocational education. In these programs we work with recent graduates who would like to get some work experience after graduation. At the moment we co-operate with about 10 European countries in these outbound programs. Most of our participants are 18-30 years old, but there are also possibilities for 16-17 years old and in many programs we have older participants as well. Due to wide variety of programs we can offer interesting alternatives to people with different backgrounds. In addition to working, learning and volunteering programs we are active in different international projects. We have participated in various strategic partnership projects both in European and global level. We also take part in youth worker mobility projects, youth exchanges, trainings and other projects which we find worthwhile for our work and priorities. We are a non-profit and non-governmental body. Our office is in Helsinki in Allianssi-talo and we are affiliated with the Finnish National Youth Council Allianssi which has over 130 national member organisations.

Thank you for visiting our stand at the World Village Festival 2026!

World Village Festival gathered over 20 000 people in the centre of Helsinki in mid-May. 🥰
This year the festival theme was Freedom. In our stand we shared information on different possibilities to use the freedom of movement we enjoy in Europe enabling us to volunteer, work and live freely in any European Union country.

During the two full festival days we met a large number of people from all walks of life.
We're especially glad to have spoken with many interested young people that wanted to know more about the learning mobility opportunities European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+ programs provide through partner networks such as IGNetwork. We enjoyed inspiring encounters and nice discussions with a large number of potential future volunteers and active citizens. 🙌

🌲✨ Our ESC Baltic Sea volunteering team in Nõva, Estonia has come to an end!🇪🇪

Over the past days, participants shared an unforgettable experience💚
Nõva is a small coastal village located on the North West coast of Estonia.
Together, they learnt more about the Baltic Sea, went on a biking trip, cleaned beaches and camp areas, stacked wood and spent time enjoying the outdoors — even picking flowers and herbes along the way 🌿

The group also shared cozy moments together through sauna evenings and campfires under the sky 🔥

This project also brought together such a warm and supportive group, creating new friendships and many beautiful memories.🤩

🌊✨ Our first ESC Volunteering Team VTHPA Baltic Sea has officially come to an end!
Over the past days, we had the pleasure of welcoming 5 participants from countries around the Baltic Sea for a meaningful experience of volunteering, cultural exchange and community.
The team supported the World Village Festival in Helsinki with its organisation and maintenance, whilst enjoying its vibrant atmosphere🌍
Beyond volunteering at the festival, participants also took part in environmental activities around Helsinki and learnt more about the Baltic Sea. During a visit to Suomenlinna, they joined a clean-up activity by collecting litter, and they also helped remove invasive species in a local forest to support biodiversity and protect native ecosystems 🌿
The group also joined our May edition of Deeds of Hope, connecting with the local community through another meaningful event.🤩
Of course, the project was not only about work: there were also many fun activities, shared meals, conversations and unforgettable moments that brought the group closer together 💙
A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this first volunteering team such a special experience!

🇪🇺The activity is part of the ESC project CoDeSea co-funded by the European Union.

Evening of solidarity and friendship! 🇫🇮🇺🇦

For our April edition of Deeds of Hope, we invite you to spend an evening exploring Ukrainian culture, learning together and expressing solidarity through shared activities.🤝

The evening will begin with a presentation by the Ukrainian Association in Finland, offering insights into their work and the Ukrainian community in Finland.
We will then take part in an interactive Kahoot quiz📲 and join a creative workshop, crafting postcards with messages of support and solidarity for Ukraine, which will be later exhibited at the Ukrainian Center 🌅
We will also share a traditional Ukrainian meal — a vegan version of borsch 🍲

Come learn, create and share in a meaningful evening of culture and solidarity! 💙💛
