This December, Rotaract Helsinki is proud to join Finlandia Hall Impact Rotary Satellite Club’s blood donation campaign! ❤️

We’re encouraging our members— and anyone who’s able— to donate blood under the group name “Rotary Suomi.” By doing so, we become part of a nationwide effort to support patients who need lifesaving care, especially during the winter months when donations typically decrease. ❄️

Every donation can help save up to three lives.
Every act of kindness strengthens our community.
And together, we can make a real impact. 💪

Yesterday we participated in the silent candlelight procession organized by UN Women Suomi and the City of Helsinki. 🧡

Holding candles, we walked together from one end of Esplanadi Park to the other. We stopped partway through to hear choir performances and speeches by Daniel Sazonov, mayor of Helsinki, and Suzanne Innes-Stubb, attorney and spouse of President Alexander Stubb.

At the end of the procession, we placed our candles at the foot of the Havis Amanda statue, symbolizing our solidarity with survivors and remembering those lost to gender-based violence. 🕯️

Let’s continue to advocate for a world free from violence against women and girls. 🌐

Our President, Emma Arnell, reports from the Nordact 2025 conference in Tallinn 🇪🇪:

“From November 14-16, I was honoured to represent Rotaract Helsinki at Nordact, the annual conference uniting Rotaract clubs from the Nordic countries and beyond. Nordact 2025 was held in our own district this year, in the historic and vibrant city of Tallinn, Estonia. Thanks to Rotaract Tallinn International's hard work and driven leadership, the conference was a resounding success. It provided not just theory, but actionable knowledge, reinforcing Nordact’s role in supporting young professional development.

Returning to Helsinki, I carry not just a wealth of new contacts, but a renewed perspective on Rotaract’s role in the Nordics and in the global Rotary mission. The connections made and the lessons learned at Nordact 2025 are already fueling Rotaract Helsinki’s planning for service projects in the coming year.”

Tonight’s Open Meeting at Oodi library was a blast! 🚀 We were especially pleased to welcome Rotary Youth Exchange students Augusto and Lara from Brazil. 🇧🇷 Together, we confirmed the details of our Rotaract service projects for the month of November.

After the meeting, we headed to .fi for some bubble tea and games of Uno. 🧋 Rotaract smiles make even the grayest October nights shine bright! ✨
