Kino Club International, Helsinki-based artist collective, curating and creating moving-image art and -events.

Kino club has showcased more than three hundred independent art films and video works, and organized more than 30 thematic, non-profit screening events. In 2019 the group curated its first big group exhibition called 'Expanded Cinema'. Exhibition was held in Exhibition Laboratory in Helsinki 2020. That year the collective furthermore produced its first collective film: Exquisite Futures - an exper

🍁We want to share some of the special moments from the Diaspora event at Gold Cafe in Puhos. Once again, continues its nomadic path with screenings events, this time, we had the amazing chance to be for the first time in this beautiful café-restaurant at Puhos.💛

The event will take place at the warm and welcoming Gold Café in Puhos, Itäkeskus, a space renowned for its unique atmosphere, excellent food, and, of course, sh**ha. In our event, cinema is not only watched but lived, shared, tasted, and felt as an ongoing dialogue about belonging, remembering, and the experience of displacement.

would like to thank everyone who joined our event in the Kalasatama neighborhood. A special thanks to the filmmakers and musicians who made the night unforgettable! Many guests enjoyed the delicious salmon soup, the films, and the music.💘⚓️💫

Throughout the evening, we counted approximately 120 participants, which reflects the growing interest in outdoor cultural events in this beautiful new area in Helsinki. One of the most unique aspects of our “Harbour” event was the use of a sailing boat called “Idefix” as the projection surface. We transformed the pier into an immersive floating cinema.

We are grateful to the City of Helsinki for supporting initiatives that bring art and culture into public spaces, making them open and welcoming to everyone. Special thanks to Julian Blom for sharing his amazing “Idefix”.💫⛵️
