Whether you want to continue conversations started during the week, meet new colleagues, or simply take a moment to relax, this casual gathering offers the perfect opportunity to do so in a inspiring atmosphere.

During the evening, participants will have the option to enjoy a sauna and spend time networking with others from the game community. 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 will provide light snacks and non-alcoholic refreshments. You can bring your own drinks to the premises, if you want.

Have you ever wondered what a union actually does, how collective agreements affect your everyday working life, or what benefits membership provides?

Join us for an informal and interactive evening where you'll learn how the union supports professionals in the game industry, meet fellow members, and get answers to all your questions. And have some pizza and some refreshments.

Whether you're already a member, considering joining, or simply curious about union membership, this event is for you.

What we'll cover:
- What unions do and how they support employees
- Why collective agreements (TES) matter
- Membership benefits and services
- Events, networking opportunities, and member activities
- What HEDs (personnel representatives) are and how they support members
- Practical examples of situations where the union can help
- Open AMA (Ask Me Anything) and Q&A session

Questions can be submitted anonymously during the event using a QR code, making it easy to ask anything that's on your mind.

You may also have the opportunity to submit questions in advance.

Through this survey, international technology professionals living in Finland can make their voices heard and help shape public discussion as well as the advocacy work of TEK and the Association of Professional Engineers in Finland.

The survey takes just 10–15 minutes to complete and covers topics such as employment, equality, integration, values and language learning.

The results will be widely used in policy advocacy, media engagement and discussions with decision-makers, making every response valuable.

Step away from the screens and trade your pixels for spray paint! 🎨

We’re heading outside to soak up the early summer sun at the Suvilahti graffiti wall, where an experienced street artist will help us create some art!

Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a coder who has never held a spray can, it’s the perfect chance to try something new.

We will provide the paint cans, snacks and good company, all you have to do is bring yourself and your friends.

The discussion will explore what QA really means beyond testing, who truly owns quality across a team, and how YOU can build strong quality practices.

Karol Truchan - Senior QA Lead at Moonloot, a Netflix game studio. Karol is a leader specializing in Quality engineering, reliability, and AI‑enabled automation across large‑scale platforms and game studios. With two decades of experience, he helps organizations make quality a built‑in strength through better tooling, practices, and people‑first leadership.

Henry Lunabba - QA Lead at Metacore Engineer, tester, manager, developer, thinker, philosopher, gamer, reader, writer, wanderer, dreamer, human. Henkka has close to 30 years of experience different different domains of Tech and QA, - including Telecom, Banking, Fintech, Health and now mobile games.

Riku Salpakari - Senior QA Specialist Riku is a humanist who made the jump to gaming QA 8 years ago and never looked back. He has worked on a variety of platforms from mobile to PC.

At IGDA Helsinki we strive for making our events accessible for everyone. We kindly ask all attendees to stay away from using strong perfumes or similar fragrances. The Meetups can be crowded at times, meaning that the sound volume can also become rather loud.

Bit1 Competition’s finale was held today in Helsinki XR Center. Young game developers from all over the country gathered together and competed with their own games.

The winner of this year’s competition is a student team Dappa from Tampere University of Applied sciences. Their game Tennis Apocalypse was jury’s favourite in this tight competition. Congratulations to the winners and other finalists!
